I can't really blame him for that if they were dumb enough to sign that contract. Pretty much, that's taking a bear in as a pet and wondering why when it tries to eat you for breakfast one morning. Exactly, people can talk about how it's traditional to put someone over on the way out and such, but if you're not contractually obligated to in any way, there's no impetus on you to do so. This is a much bigger failing on TNA's part for giving Hulk such a contract than it is Hulk acting on said contract.

I'm more dumbfounded that people actually were surprised he had that. He always had that.
It's like being surprised Christoper Daniels is a guy.

It's Hulk Hogan. Dixie should have been kissing his ass on the way out.
If anything, just be glad Hogan's gone. Take the win and look forward to the future ahead.

The way to get around a guy controlling how he is booked, after all, is to not book him. The Dennis Stamp treatment.

When I read the spoilers, I felt that Dixie begging him to stay was just to add heat to her as a heel. So walking out like that I'm fine with. I will see what happens tonight though. On the show, he obviously feels AJ Styles is the man and hates what Dixie is doing, so I guess it's kinda putting someone over in some small way, that Dixie has pissed off Hogan where he just wants out.

On the positive, he finally does have a confrontation with Bully.

Apparently creative control means you have the owner of the company literally groveling at your feet while you just look bored with it all. The man truly never gave a shit, he got paid and left the sinking ship. Good riddance.

.....But, like RVD people will make excuses for him, he'll give interviews sucking up to the WWE and praising their pet project du jour to high heavens, and of course, claiming that TNA guys just didn't have it to be stars and that things that were clearly done because he had creative control weren't his fault, brother. This, imho, will be the truly sad part. If it indeed goes down like that in Hogan's case too.

I honestly don't see how it's "dirty" though. Like I get people thinking it's not the "right" thing to do, but he apparently honored the contract that he signed. There's nothing dirty about that when the other party agreed to it.

But my thing is, why wouldn't Hogan want to give someone a little bit of a rub on the way out? I'm not even saying someone has to own him on the mic and tell him he's a piece of shit or beat him up or anything. Just say something good about someone and say "all you Hulkamaniacs cheerin me right now, I want you to take that love and that good energy and give it to this guy, because this guy is gonna take you to the promised land, jack!" or something. Unless, there's just no one on the roster that Hogan feels that way about, and doesn't want to give someone an empty endorsement. I suppose that's possible.

You know, for some reason I just don't believe this. I'm not entirely convinced that Hogan is gone for good. At the very least, we will see if he's truly gone should he come to Vince with some ridiculous offer and they tell him to stick it.

Unless, there's just no one on the roster that Hogan feels that way about, and doesn't want to give someone an empty endorsement. I suppose that's possible. He left the WWF without helping to get the guy they wanted to carry the company at that time over, nixing a planned program with Bret Hart. He left WCW without helping any of the guys they were desperately trying to build up as main eventers to get over, heck, Vince Russo publicly tore him a new one and had Jeff Jarrett lay in the ring because of Hulk's shenannigans. He left the WWE because he didn't fancy putting over Shawn Michaels, then again after his match with Randy Orton after it's screwy finish... I think at this point it's safe to say that Hulk Hogan doesn't give a rats behind about getting anyone over unless he's contractually obligated to do so and its been that way for a long time. The only thing he has any interest in giving a rub to is Brooke's body.

I'm as big of a Hogan fan as they come, but of course he's going to play politics like no one else. He was the top guy when WWF was putting the territories under and when politics were at their worst. TNA should have known this when they gave him full creative control. It's like putting a shark in your swimming pool and not expecting it to bite.
