I just wish that there were more talk of "cutting the ring in half", "getting caught in the wrong side of town", "Pier 6 Brawls", and "Donnybrookes"

I think this is why I prefer my tag teams that have a whacky gimmick or to be a whack odd pairing, as the matches themselves bore me to death.

That Matadores vs 3MB match was pretty unique and exciting. Short, but unique.

I really enjoy tag team matches that aren't done in the RnR Express style. I don't care if I ever see another one of those again.

Depends on how they're booked. WWE is super guilty of being too formulaic with them, but other companies are a little better at mixing it up. The shield/uso matches have different structures to them there is usually one hot tag to build up that butt bump and finish but it gets shifted because of counters then shield get a tag. Tag matches are something wwe usually books right. Like the real americans dominating the whole match against team comedy Man kozlov should still be a team with santino

The Rhodes/Shield tag match was easily my favourite match at Battleground.

The fun thing is that they already tried mixing up the Rock 'n Roll Express formula as far back as '95, when Owen Hart & Yokozuna matches were always structured around the babyface team desperately trying to isolate Owen in the ring and keep monster heel Yoko from getting tagged in. But no one's trying anything like that these days.

I never watch 2 on 2 tag matches. They're boring and predictable.

Shield tag/6 man matches are pretty much always solid gold. They seem to bring out the best in everybody.

But Rollins has the reputation of being The Shield's butt monkey, so he's already "the weakest." Although The Shield has a solid reputation of being a trio of badasses, so being the least badass out of all the badasses still makes him more badass than the average wrestler. That has the added benefit of slowly turning Rollins face whenever you want to break up The Shield, considering he is the guy who always puts himself on the line and ends up in the worst possible situations.

How are tag matches boring, but singles matches aren't? It's the same formula.

I miss stuff like the heel doing an abdominal stretch, then his partner on the apron grabs his hand and adds leverage on the hold. The ref almost catches it a couple of times, then DOES catch it, kicks the hands, and the face does a hiptoss. Bring that spot back!

I am so damn tired of the old "face tries to get into the ring, ref stops him and argues for what seems like forever, heel partner gets in the ring and double teams while the ref NEVER so much as glances behind him" spot.
