I'm gonna put SNES, because I have one now, but I had both at one time or another when I was a kid.

Genesis. I had both consoles with tons of games, but I've gone back into Genesis collecting because honestly, I like the games on that more.

Nintendo was my childhood. Mode 7>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Blast Processing. Mode 7 was so tacky looking it wasn't funny. In fact, it looks even worse now. Genesis all the way for me.

SNES on the grounds that the Genesis has had it's name besmirched by one Curtis Axel.

Also, a lot of SNES music irks me on account of most composers abusing the reverb effect and making everything sound so... cheap.

My favorite boss fight from one of my favorite Genesis games easily.
Also, the soundtrack for Adventures of Batman and Robin is amazing.

Genesis, but I do love both. I just grew up with it great games like Phantasy Star IV and Crusader of Centy, though I admit, I did envy those with SNES for some games. I did get one later on.

I was a Genesis kid all the way. I played Sonic 2 until I damn near wore out the controller.

It's hard for me (that's what she said) but as far as original games go, Sonic's dear to my heart but SNES wins it by a mile.
On the other hand, Genesis wins the licensed port game contest.

SNES. I've got a huge appreciation for all of Sega's consoles, but I always preferred Nintendo's game library.

SNES all the way. Sega needed two add ons to try keep the lifespan of the Genesis, and we all know how those little gadgets turned out...

Mega Drive. Great games all round. SNES brought it too. God that was a great time to be a gamer.

Genesis.
I had a few Super Nintendo systems in the 90's but the majority of the time I was a Genesis guy. I remember the games being just a little bit cheaper on that system which influenced my playing it quite a bit. Sad thing is...I even had a Sega CD & 32X:(
I remember playing them and thinking they were cool...lol.

SNES was my first console, so that by default. But I always wanted a Genesis.
