He is now the "Yes" Man who beats up the Shield every week. EVERY. WEEK. That's been the case since last December. Bryan vs The Shield again, and again, and again, and again. I stopped paying attention to it in May, I legit fell asleep during their match live at Payback, is how little I care to see this for the 500th time. f***. And they're all good wrestlers, is the worst part. You just can only do something so many times. bull

I loved Bryan and still do, but my interest has dwindled since about mid-way through the whole Team Hell No thing. It's strange because I was really enjoying that angle too, so I'm not sure why it flattened him out for me. At the end of the day, I'm still really happy that he's gotten so over, and it's great to see him getting such big opportunities lately, but yeah...
Side note: I can't get over how bad his current look is. I miss WHC Bryan.

WWE has an amazing ability to catch lightning in a bottle, then proceed to drop said bottle right into the trash.

The sarcasm doesn't bother me. Bryan works better as a Mick Foley than a Stone Cold.

*Shrug*
The main event angle in the aimless post-Summerslam fall stretch is almost always mediocre and forgettable. We've just got a different face in there this time around.
And I like how Bryan smiling through heel promos against him and laughing them off is somehow a conspiracy by the bookers to undermine him and tear him down, while Cena/Sheamus/etc doing the exact same thing is obvious proof that they're terrible performers who need to be shoved down the card ASAP.

It's been going down since Cena picked him for Summerslam.
The fact that they seem dead set on giving him long talking segments is exposing him pretty bad. He is NOT that guy.

Actually, I want U.S. Champ Bryan's head with current Bryan's body.

My interest has certainly waned a little. He's still the best thing going in the company though, the booking is not really doing him any serious favours though.
A fear the company will lose interest in him when Cena comes back in a few weeks. We'll be able to tell how serious they are about keeping Bryan on top by whether or not Cena main events the next PPV. If Bryan can't headline with Orton in a HIAC on a HIAC PPV, then I'll start getting worried.
Also, I love seeing him & the Shield wrestle - they deliver every damn time - but you can definitely have too much of a good thing. He's lacking fresh opponents with the story he's in. I want to see him wrestle the likes of the Real Americans, Fandango, 3MB etc.

I think Bryan vs Shield is worse because it's been perpetually featured as a main event level attraction on show, after show, after show. It's like watching every night of a house show loop. Dolph and Kofi is more like randomly sprinkled midcard matches.

No, it hasn't. I mean, yeah, there are some things that should be going a bit differently, but I don't see any reason to just give up on the guy because of that.

The sarcasm doesn't bother me. Bryan works better as a Mick Foley than a Stone Cold. And if there was one thing that Foley did since 1998, was make me not care about Foley. Not only did he not protect himself against chair shots, but he also allowed for him to get chewed up and spit out with every person he feuded with. It only worked with the Rock. It got to the point that beating him meant nothing....and then when he went into that suspended animation retirement, where he was having a match every so often in 2003-onwards...getting beat by him meant you were nothing. When Carlito lost to him, I felt embarrassed for Carlito. And I'm saying that as someone who was entertained by Foley...but holy hell did he let himself be the bottom bitch too often.

I for one would watch an entire DVD set of Kofi and Dolph having the same match over and over and over and over again.

Plenty of people have made the seperation and said Cena and Sheamus are good/great performers that are shoved into a lame WWE babyface jokey-jokester role, and I'm one of them. I've done the same thing with Daniel Bryan, I said it's making his character completely irritating. It's funny how you're constantly pulling this "defensive/paranoid IWC" argument while you're doing the exact same thing at the same time.

I gave it a bit longer than you. The SS match and win was great. The initial feud with HHH & Co was good too. I even liked the first screw job. I'd say it's when they got Show and to a lesser extent, Brie involved. Show's storyline has been ridiculous and Brie is unsympathetic. It's been a mess since Battleground.

My interested in wrestler Daniel Bryan has not waned. He's one of my favorites. My interest in this storyline, and public speaker Daniel Bryan has waned considerably.

Yeah, it's sad to say but it has. Battleground is what killed my interested in this angle dead and seriously wounded Bryan. The worst part was it was a completely throw away PPV that didn't need to exist. I was so looking forward to the moment Bryan won the title for good, I was looking forward to seeing him defend it against all contenders. Now, now I just don't care. The moment I looked forward to so much has now been made meaningless to me. I still like Bryan, I just don't care anymore.
