Seriously, they have like three other top faces on the same show and they let Big Show be their top guy?

Because they want it to seem fresh when the top faces who actually matter finally get involved in the Authority angle in the buildup to Wrestlemania.

I pretty much get that it's just filler, but why not use this "filler" to possibly give someone new a rub. Why not Miz? Why not Dolph? Why not Cody? Why not someone completely out of left field? It just bugs me that Big Show is "important" in 2013.

Considering all the complaining going on around these parts about how Bryan is being buried 'cause he didn't win the title from Orton (in spite of never taking a clean loss and always getting screwed over by interference), I think most people on here wouldn't see much of a rub in getting to be the next guy to spend a few months similarly failing to topple the Authority.

I was one of the most vocal in bitching about Bryan being overshadowed. But I accepted that he couldn't be in the title scene forever if they were planning on dragging out this angle to WM. I just figure why not let another young talent have this storyline? Sure it's obvious that he'll lose, but at least he'd get a short moment in the sun. One that Big Show really doesn't need. Show shouldn't be the top face. Hell, he should've turned heel already.

Big Show's older, more established and won't take that damage badly, especially after all his years yoyoing. That he's the most over he's been in like, 15 years is a bonus.

It wouldn't matter if he could get the job done or not because everyone knows that the Authority's eventual downfall will be at the hands of Daniel Bryan or to the dismay of many, John Cena. This would just be a test to see if he could hang in top level storylines with top talents so that they can consider giving him a REAL main event run down the line. I really wanted to see people elevated and get rubs with this story, yet it all seems like a waste. Show's involvement just ruins it.

I generally hate most everything that Big Show does, but I'm not even angry about this latest push. Every segment between him and HHH has been gold, and seeing Daniel Bryan chase the WWE Title for months on end was getting tedious.
My hope is that the feud with the Wyatts is just a temporary placeholder for DBD and Punk before they get super pushed leading into Wrestlemania...but knowing WWE this is just blind optimism on my end.

Because Mark Henry got injured. I honestly think that's the only reason.

I'll be honest... I'm struggling to think of a time when he's been booked this strong as a babyface. I mean, the only other examples I can think of was the feud with The Straight-Edge Society and the 2005-2006 tag title run with Kane... maybe the Mark Henry feud in late 2010, too.

It's hard to keep up with Big Show cycles and know whether he's in the silly/dancing/crying joke or a serious "please don't remember my silly/dancing/crying joke phrase and treat me like a legitimate monster' phase.

If you break it down, why does anybody really deserve a push? The wwe just needs a face to lose to the Authority to build up their credibility.

The silent crowd at the end of Raw must have been asking the same question. The only time they make noise for show is when they do Bryan's catchphrase.
