Show's push could/should have been getting his hands on HHH. If he was the secondary face in the feud, it works fine. The crowd died last night when it dawned on them that the main event for Survivor Series was Big Show/Randy Orton.
The best (worst) part was the triple powerbomb through the announce table when Show looked like he was trying not to take a dump because he was having to hold himself up, then having to turn his head to make sure he landed flush on the table- all while he was supposed to be barely conscious.
I think the short answer is nobody really can understand what he's doing main eventing a PPV.

YEah I was kinda hoping that with the whole Banned for life thing they were setting up someone else to wrestle Orton and have Triple H wrestle Big Show to settle the law suit... which is a thing that can happen in Wrestling

The logic on why he shouldn't get a title match despite being over as f***, is lacking.

The fans want it, based on the crowd reactions. This is where people will say 'but Bryan didn't win!' However, he did get a shot, which was our point. I like you. You agree with me. Let's make out. ...I SAID LET'S MAKE OUT

I don't think people's problems are with Show getting the title shot. It's with him being plugged into the role of being the sole person to potentially take down the Authority through all sorts of machinations. That particular angle is Bryan's. That's the problem. Thank God Vince hasn't came back and endorsed Big Show yet. To me, that's the final straw that makes the whole thing nonredeemable.

What is the guarantee that the angle was ever MEANT to put Bryan in that role? What if this whole thing was meant to give DB a taste, then move into someone else to carry the load (someone here mentioned the angle being promo-heavy, hence Show being a natural choice) until it's Cena time come WrestleMania?

The only thing I don't like about Big Show being in this is he's kinda stealing the Yes chants. Yeah, at this point I almost wouldn't be surprised if they stop Daniel Bryan from doing the "Yes!" thing anymore, because it seems like they're giving it to Big Show.

There's no purpose to them existing solely for Big Show's sake.

I find it kind of ironic that the user with the name "Dolph Ziggler" is asking why someone is getting a push.

Big Show did an interview during the end of last year and he mentioned something about him and Orton clashing in the ring was "virgin territory" so given that it was only a matter of time. What they probably did is one of the officials heard it or Big Show pitched it and they found a way to have them feud now because it's the best time. When they feuded earlier on in the year Sheamus and the WHC was in the way so they haven't really had much time together. With this storyline they can at least clash and have it mean something on a bigger scale which they didn't have prior.
I don't understand why Big Show is the lead guy of this angle though. Maybe they felt bad for making a giant look like crap again repeatedly and decided why not.

The logic on why he shouldn't get a title match despite being over as f***, is lacking. Lots of guys are over. Doesn't mean that they are main eventing PPV's. Kane is over. I don't want to watch him main eventing either. If the choice is for Randy Orton to be heel champ, putting a younger babyface in the challenger spot to get them over seems like a more logical move.

Maybe they felt bad for making a giant look like crap again repeatedly and decided why not. If that was the plan, then it still could've happened. D-Bry beats Cena, HHH doesn't like him as champ, his buddy Orton turns, Bryan can beat Orton and needs to get screwed. Big Show has been conflicted about KO'ing people for Steph. We anticipate who's side he's on. All that was good booking. But it all went to shit when Show knocked out both Bryan and Orton at NOC, even though he winds up siding with Bryan. Since he was turning face, doesn't it make sense to help the face to complete the turn? THEN Show has his feud with Orton since he cost him the title, with HHH still involved. Neither Orton nor Show need the belt to have a high profile feud. Bryan does. And not only was Show turning face but Kane was coming back as a heel, the perfect guy for Bryan to feud with right now.
