Didn't Hurricane have a mini heel turn when he was teaming him Rosie? I definitely remember him ripping up one of the masks they'd sell to the kiddies, but don't think anything ever came of it. I do remember him ripping up a mask, but I thought that happened when he officially turned heel and gave up the Hurricane character. Eugene, during the "I'M SPECIAL!" gimmick. He turned on Hacksaw Jim Duggan after they lost to the Spirit Squad and had to break up. He did turn heel for a while there. Lasted a month or 2, then realized it didn't work because (IMO) a heel mentally challenged fellow came across as awkward and awful. Srsly, they should've just had Eugene one day say "Yeah, I've been faking this", beat down Cena or somebody big, and become a GIGANTIC heel by the crowds immediately.

I wish they turned Zack instead. Maybe things would be different. bitter, friend-zoned "Nice guy" Zack Ryder would've been a great gimmick. too bad WWE's about 5 years behind the times. Give him a fedora and have him quote Men's Rights Activists and I'd have tuned in every week to watch him get the crap kicked out of him.

I heard Kaitlyn was going to be the newest member of the 4 Horsemen but they went with Paul Roma instead at the last minute. Big mistake IMO.

I remember a segment in late 99 where Rock and Austin beat down HHH (i think), and Rock was about to give HHH the people's elbow, but right before he hit it, austin gave him a double bird. I thought that was leading to an Austin heel turn, but then he got injured.

Matt Hardy was going to turn on Jeff in late 2001, but they reconciled after the Royal Rumble, and the turn was held off until he was drafted to Smackdown.

Going back a few decades, in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania 13 it was painfully obvious the WWF was looking to turn The British Bulldog face, but abandoned it when they decided to go with the Hart Foundation stable instead.

What about Edge's War on Stupid? Yeah but that did turn Edge face though. And he stayed face until he retired.

Christian was supposed to turn on Edge at or after Wrestlemania 27, but after Edge's retirement, the feud was scrapped and they just turned Christian heel later. Wish Edge vs. Christian could've happened for the title.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. It ended abruptly because Edge was traded to SmackDown in exchange for CM Punk. He then quickly moved onto a feud with Kane.

He was on Smackdown feuding with Swagger and his soaring eagle while still doing the war on stupid.

He didn't rip it up but there was one week where he took a mask back from a kid which I think is what he was talking about. But the next week they just blew it off like Hurricane was in a bad mood.

How about Godfather' s Velocity-only heel turn as an angry pimp?
I also seem to remember hearing of a house show heel turn tryout for Kofi Kingston.
