It's interesting to me how many people are all "It's only fifty dollars!" and are accusing Greg of being bitter.
First: No one polices wrestling. It polices itself. The only way you eliminate crappy promoters and bad shows like this is by making the wrestling community aware of it so it peters out.
Two: Wrestling is an incredible risk on your body and the idea that you should settle for being stiffed out of your pay is absurd. When I started bouncing, I did it under the table for forty bucks a night. You'd better believe I got my money at the end of every night even when the bar owner tried to screw me out of it. I wasn't taking that kind of risk and then going home without my cash. Pro wrestling is WAY more dangerous than my job. I could have a night where I do nothing but talk to people. These guys know they're going to get flung at the mat at high speeds every night. Why the hell should they NOT be pissed about getting the amount they agreed on? Why shouldn't it be a reasonable rate?
