I hope that over time they'll tweak the gimmick to help him out. Give the mask eyeholes, let him put more of his Hunico wrestling style in (and that might already be starting since he used his weird Olympic Slam thing), that kind of thing. The guy deserves a decent shot.

He needs to learn to point if he wants to be Sin Cara.

The whole gimmick is so basic and boring. It's like some starter character in a video game. Hunico is wasted.

I can't either.
Atleast with Misticara you never really knew what he looked like but knowing this guy is someone else playing a gimmick intended for another guy is just weak.

I liked that they put him in Mexican flag colors last night and then immediately bathed the arena in mood lighting that made it unnoticable.

I like Hunico. I liked Hunico as Sin Cara the first time around. I like Hunico the second time around as Sin Cara.
I also see it from the WWE's standpoint: they created a character, which they felt would translate well to the younger audience, thus making them tons, and tons of money off of action figures, playsets, and penis T-shirts.
I'm willing to bet that there are 100s of Sin Cara products that have already been greenlit for 2014. WWE wants to sell the things. Not have dozens of them still sitting around in clearance sections 4 years down the road.

I like Sin Cara as Sin Cara, & I like Hunico as Hunico, I don't get why they need to keep putting Hunico under the mask to keep the gimmick alive, it's so obviously not the actual Sin Cara. Unless they are leading to another Sin Cara vs. Sin Cara match up, it seems pointless to do this again; Especially when the fake Sin Cara can actually pick up wins against a former World Champion - proving himself to be better than the original one.

MONEY. Do you know how much more merch the character of Sin Cara can move? Hunico on his own merit can't push that much.

He needs to learn to point if he wants to be Sin Cara. Sin Cara points with passion and fury, FOR THE PEOPLE. Hunicara points cockily and half-heartedly, while nodding. It's just not working for him. But, Hunico has pinned Alberto Del Rio 2 weeks in a row, so I'm on the plus side here.

I'm OK with Hunicara, but I want them to somehow acknowledge that Hunico won the Sin Cara gimmick back, and can start injecting his own personality into the gimmick...

Well, I think the idea is that Hunico IS Sin Cara now. They're not going to keep switching to various people, they had one guy who couldn't get the job done so they replaced him with someone that could.

They still have the actual Sin Cara though, my point is that it seems weird to put Hunico under the mask again when they still have the real one. Sure he gets injured a lot & hasn't had the best of luck, but the original Sin Cara has a certain aura around him that Hunico doesn't in the role. He just seems boring & uneventful.

For those of you who need a Kayfabe reason: Just view Sin Cara & Sin Cara as modern day Mr Wrestling I & Mr Wrestling II.

I heard Mistico/Sin Cara's WWE contract is up soon (like maybe in January). And they've decided not to resign him.

I think WWE is banking on most of Sin Cara's merch-buying fans being little kids that can't tell the difference. Sometimes I wonder how young (or smart?) they expect these kids to be. I know a few who aren't even fans like that but could immediately tell it's not the same guy. He's taller, heavier and doesn't even wrestle the same way. Now these are kids aged 6-12 who pay attention to the matches. It might be accurate to say they're banking on people not caring.

He botches just as much as mistico. He really does. I have no idea why people try to defend this gimmick. Just let Sin Cara die, and have Hunico be Hunico.

It might be accurate to say they're banking on people not caring. Even as a kid, I knew when they changed Doink from Matt Bourne to Ray Apollo. And that was long before I was on the internet (I read about it in some magazine, but I could tell it was a different guy even before that). Granted, I was 11 years old when they switched Doinks, not 6 like the audience WWE often seems to go for now... But in today's society with everyone on the internet, it's hard for me to believe that most kids won't know the difference. But WWE seems to go by the philosophy "never under-estimate the stupidity of your audience". That's why we get all of those damn how-to tutorials on the WWE App...

Meh, I prefer Hunico as Sin Cara over blatantly racist Mexican stereotype wrestler #47. Better than the original too.
