Well, now that he's unified the titles and gotten another sorta-clean win over Cena, it might actually look like it means something when the Royal Rumble winner beats him at Wrestlemania. $1,000,000 says it wont

He's just the heel champion that the Rumble winner will have his WrestleMania moment with. At Orton's expense, of course. Given how lazy they've booked Rumble winners in the past, I wouldn't put it past them to have Orton retain.

Does this render everything Cena said in his promo this past Monday bullshit now that Orton won?

Eh, I like the guy, and that match showed that he has traces of giving a shit. Assuming Bryan vs Orton then, which shouldn't be bad.

My boycott continues. Cena with a maybe heel turn could have bought me back a bit but nope. TNA it is for me.

Come on now, Mel. It's not like Goldberg won both belts!

Don't mind Orton, just not really interested in seeing him and Punk.

Still think Bryan wins the Rumble and faces Orton at Wrestlemania, if not him than Punk.
I really don't see the problem. They did too many shenanigan endings, and there really wasn't buildup to any at this one anyway. I think people were upset because they saw Cena helping Stephanie up as foreshadowing a heel turn somehow. I'm fine with Orton as Champ so long as Punk or Bryan take the belt.

Actually you know what, it probably will mean more when somebody takes it off him but less in the HISTORY sense, and more in the thank god this stupid f***face isn't the focal point of the show any more.

Further proof that nothing that has happened in the WWE since 2007 has mattered. There is very nearly literally no reason to watch anymore.
Between WWE and TNA, I may just be done with wrestling.

TNA at least has main event guys who don't put me to sleep main storying with a guy who's ego is so huge he crushed the hottest era in pro wrestling with it. (at least now that Hogan is gone)

Does this render everything Cena said in his promo this past Monday bullshit now that Orton won? Hardly the first time for that. He basically said he'd kill himself if he lost to The Rock at WM 28 and came out the next night smilin' as always.

WWE Championship won/survived so it'll be that going on their past. I don't know, when McCool beat Melina she was (technically) the Women's Champion. Yup. They've been hyping the WHC in recent weeks saying how Lou Thesz, Harley Race and Flair won that title...which is total bullshit. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to literally tie together that lineage on their website for some ungodly reason. Again, all I have to say is if they "retire" the WWE title lineage like they did with the World tag titles (still bullshit they did that), then it's over. That title goes all the way back to my earliest days, so if they choose a bogus title over it, I'm done.
