I never saw Edge, Steve Austin, or Sabu in the Nexus.

On some thinking on it, if the plan is for Bryan to win the Rumble but he's unable to compete, I can think of two good ways to handle it that'd both kind of end up in the same place. First one - think I mentioned it earlier, but show Bryan choosing his number and getting a late one only for him to get attacked offscreen by the Wyatt Family. Bray enters the Rumble early, is in for a long time, and is eventually eliminated, then he comes back in in Bryan's spot and wins it. Cue the board or Vince or something declaring Bryan gets a shot at Elimination Chamber to earn the title shot. Second - Bryan is number thirty, but isn't out yet and it's down to Punk and Bray. The two simultaneously eliminate each other, then Bryan comes out and is declared the winner. In response to this Triple H makes it so that Bryan has to defend the title shot against Bray at Elimination Chamber, and when Punk doesn't get the same it furthers him being pissed at Triple H and wanting his head. I like the 1st scenario. The 2nd wouldn't be good for his character and would make it look like he hasn't earnt it. They could make the Elimination Chamber match between the last 6 guys in the Rumble, including Bryan. That way he wins the Rumble, but "earns it" a month later by winning the Chamber, all without putting his health in jeopardy by rushing him back. I'd rather it go like that than giving someone else the Rumble win and yanking their title shot away the next month. Especially since it would probalby be a heel, and they'd look sympathetic as a result. If they're planning on Bryan going for the title at Mania, I think it's better that they stick with that through convoluted means rather than changing their title match due to what is likely a short-term injury.

I don't know if an Elimination Chamber match would be a great return match for a guy coming off a concussion

I don't know if an Elimination Chamber match would be a great return match for a guy coming off a concussion I don't think it'd really be that hard to do. Have him come in fourth or so, and any spots using the Chamber itself just have them involve the other guys. It'd be easy enough to have someone be in an Elimination Chamber match without ever really doing anything with the pods or floor without being obvious about it or anything.

I know this has been said once every 12 hours by other posters but has this actually had ANY confirmation from the WWE?
I understand people saying they wouldn't want to publish such a thing in case it had an effect on Royal Rumble buyrates but they're usually pretty instant on reports of ANY concussion.
Needless to say I hope he's fine and this is pulled out of thin air (or leaked falsely to build up further hardcore fan concern for Bryan, which I'm certain happens with guys a few times a year) because otherwise that'd suck.

No but people are assuming it's true because Meltzer said it was confirmed. But even he hasn't been very trustworthy lately so I still think there's plenty of room for doubt.

Ah thanks, just noticed those posts, it's a fair enough concern but on the Road to Wrestlemania[TM] I swear false information gets thrown around without many (if any) viable sources. Not to say Meltzer isn't a viable source (plans change and all the rest) but he's been known to be leaked false information every so often. Plus I just hope Bryan is fine for his own health beyond anything else.

I'm starting to think the concussion thing is trash as WWE hasn't mentioned it at all, but they also may be scrambling for storyline changes if its true

We haven't heard a thing about this from wwe.com and it's been 5 days. It would have been posted by now.
I bet you this is an angle. Bryan will come out of concussion to win the Rumble and WM. Makes it more of an underdog story. We will see a sea of fans at WM doing the Yes Chant and that will be a major Wrestlemania moment in itself.

WWE always posts concussions on the website. If they themselves aren't saying it, then I'm not buying it.

Yeah, seems like it's swung back to possibly being a real story again. Still odd that WWE haven't said anything, though.
Well, if there's any positive, they think highly enough of Bryan to give him the "refund offer" that only Cena usually gets whenever he can't make a house show.
