This may be a bit off-topic, but here's something I noticed over the past month, since I discovered they were running a show here (last night's event).
When I went to WWE.com, yes it was there. But they also had another show planned for March (16th I think). You figure a March show would be some sort of pre-WrestleMania tune-up card, so I told the Mrs. I'm waiting until March to go. I seen who was going to be there for January and just said, "I'll wait. Doesn't look like a lot of guys I'd wanna see."
She looked it up (I was at work) and texted me later "Says the show in March is sold-out." I'm thinking "Huh? When does a wrestling show in Hammond sell-out ahead of the original show? Usually, they use the original/first to announce at intermission that another show is coming into town and be the first to get your tickets." (That's how WCW would do it when I was a regular attendee of their events.)
Then a couple of hours later, she saw at another site that there is a show in March, but tickets were not available yet. (That's what I was guessing and it was true all along.)
So, last night, I was filling out something on Facebook, and was looking up last night's event and seeing when the March show was going to be. No longer on the events page. I thought something was fishy, so the Mrs. and I went searching. Maybe they figured the January show wasn't selling well, so they pulled the March one off so fans would think they only chance was to see it tonight (last night). Nice thought, WWE.
The Mrs. found it through a search engine. They moved the March show to the "Road To WrestleMania" page...which I could not find at WWE.com.
-By the way, I have accepted the fact I will never see Tyson Kidd or Nattie Neidhart live in person. The shows I missed, they ended up being on that show.

Back on topic (sorta)...this isn't the first time Hammond was met with a certain (featured) performer unable to compete. The last show I went to, it was my son's birthday, so we (me, my brother and a few friends) brought him with. This was when John Cena had 12 Rounds coming out, and they told us "Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we regret to inform you that JOHN CENA will not be here as advertised." (Oh, the fans were so ticked off.) They offered refunds up until the second match, which is plenty of time because the first match lasts quite a long while.
Daniel Bryan, sure, I can see how they might be unsure if he could go, so I'll let that pass. But if you knew John Cena wasn't going to be there because he was getting ready for his upcoming film...that was some BS.
