I'd probably prefer to retire with it. I don't know if I'd want to risk a huge part of my legacy by losing the streak. Since let's say for example Taker loses to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, there's no guarantee that will even push him. Maybe it'll do more harm than good in the long run, or maybe Reigns won't even be around 5 years after the match due to one reason or another. I just think it's not worth it.

I'd retire in a match against Kane that ends in a no contest when we use our magic powers to blow each other up with a display of pyrotechnics that leaves nothing but a smoldering wide-brimmed hat in the ring.

There are two ways this can play out:
1. 'Taker lays down for an up-and-comer, leading to the newcomer being pushed to the moon.
THE RISK: The newcomer ends up being someone who (a) is out of the business within two years (i.e., Lesnar), (b) jumps ship to TNA (i.e., Angle) or (c) "creative" runs out of ideas for him and he gets future endeavoured. Therefore, WWE has taken a story that took over 20 *years* to build, and flushed it down the toilet for someone that nobody will remember in five years.
2. 'Taker lays down for an established guy (like Cena).
THE PROBLEM: Why? If someone has been established enough that there's no risk of them leaving WWE and being a long-term main eventer, then do they really need the rub?
IMHO, I don't see enough of an upside to either scenario to justify ending The Streak. The Undertaker has built such a legacy in WWE that he's entitled to retire with The Streak intact if he wishes to do so.

Keep the streak and retire at survivor series. The streak needs to be his greatest achievement.

Retire with the streak.
I've always thought that people over-rate how much 'the rub' actually would mean in this situation.

I'd keep it intact. It's not like this creative team will be able to do something with the guy that did end it. (And most likely whoever breaks the streak would end up eating a pedigree.)

Retire with the Streak intact. It's pretty much the only truly sacred thing left in WWE.

Retire with the Streak.
Afterwards, make a new Streak with another wrestler. If they fail they can still say "Taker still has the Streak so they couldn't compare". Don't give it to another wrestler, just make a new one.

Keep the streak but lose his "career" match at Survivor Sries since that's where he started.
Where he starts he shall end

I think the streak should remain intact. That way, years down the road, they can do another "streak" match if everybody's into it.
Weren't there reports that Undertaker himself would have been fine with having Kane, Orton, Flair, or Michaels end it?

He needs to retire with it. Otherwise, the one and only thing important about the streak is the one match that broke it, and I don't think that would do anything but leave a bad taste in everyone's mouth.

Retire with the Streak. Afterwards, make a new Streak with another wrestler. If they fail they can still say "Taker still has the Streak so they couldn't compare". Don't give it to another wrestler, just make a new one. You're already saying that guy doesn't compare to Taker just by doing that. By making a new streak for the explicit purpose of "not having to break Taker's" you're broadcasting the message the new Streak guy is "expendable" and he's basically being set up to be fed to someone.

"I Broke The Streak", or "I Retired The Undertaker"?
Personally, I think it's more of a bragging right to permanently end someone's career. Careers have been made boasting of putting someone out for good.

I heard that Taker wanted Kane to end it but Kane declined out of respect.
Honestly no one is worthy to end it assuming that Kane/Taker scenario where they both retire doesn't happen.

Keep the streak and retire at survivor series. The streak needs to be his greatest achievement. I've always felt that The Streak over-shadowed the rest of his work. Though I've never seen The Streak as anything more then a booking coincidence that they realised had happened and decided to make a big deal out of it. I would probably retire with The Streak as other people have said, I wouldn't trust the WWE to properly utilize whatever momentum any performer got from it. The only instance in which I would be OK with breaking it is if, potentially a year or two down the line, Reigns has proven himself both in the ring and on the stick that he belongs in the main event, he would be a perfect guy to drop it to.

You should always go out on your back...
But imagine the absolute hate a guy would get for ending the streak... I think it would be more of a curse than a charm.

Retire with the streak.
And furthermore, if I had the privilege of facing The Undertaker at Wrestlemania and I was booked to go over him, I would decline out of respect to the Deadman.
With the supernaturality of The Undertaker, there are other ways to retire the character than with a loss at Wrestlemania.

As Taker gets older, to the younger crowd he's just another part-time special attraction. They weren't around when he was wrestling full time. So for a good chunk of the audience, I don't think the streak is as "sacred" as it is for others.
So I don't think whomever ends the streak would as much hate as some think. To the younger fans, it might be like "this is our current guy and he beat that old guy that my dad used to like that WWE tells us is this legend".

Retire with it intact. You don't need to break the streak to create a star. It's something that will never be replicated. It's one of the most unique things in wrestling. You don't have to sacrifice EVERYTHING to put someone over.
