It's cliche, but I was 14 and she was my first...um, "waifu".

I was devastated when Dinobot died in Beast Wars. In my defense I was like 9 or 10 when I watched that, but it still hurts dammit.

Mortal Kombat 9's Story Mode: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}The majority of the heroes died in just about 60 seconds. After nearly two hours of character development the likes of which the franchise had never seen before, everyone dies horribly. I mean, they went out of their way to make Stryker (the most hated character from the original trilogy) likeable, just to kill him off with one punch? It makes no sense! And poor Jax...dying to a high heeled shoe to the throat, that's no way for a badass army man to go!

{Spoiler}{Spoiler} Rikiya from Yakuza 3. He was such a cool, fun guy that just blended in so well with Kiryu Kazuma. {/Spoiler} Closest time in recent memory that I nearly cried at a video game.

Jesse's girlfriend Andrea on Breaking Bad. She was one of the few almost completely innocent people to be killed and it straight up pissed me off.

The death of Spock is always a popular one, but the death of Cadet Peter Preston hits me harder. I know he was a minor character with only a couple of lines, but what really sells it for me is Uhura's horrified gasp as a glazed-over Scotty carries Preston's half-dead carcass onto the bridge. It makes you wonder why they left out the scene where they established that Preston is Scotty's nephew.
Also, the death of Marshall's father on How I Met Your Mother. The look on Lily's face alone will wreck you.

Wash in Serenity. Like I literally sat through the rest of the movie completely in shock, I was so upset.

I actually watched the Inside the Actor's Studio on HIMYM yesterday and I didn't know how they created that scene before. According to Jason Segel, he was only told that Alyson's last line would end with the word "it" (I assume so he didn't step on her lines) so he had no idea it was coming in the script before she told him. They only did one take and Alyson was afraid it came out crappy and wanted to do it again but the director assured her it was perfect.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} Robb Stark.
Legitimately the first time I ever rage quit a book. Didn't pick it up again until a couple weeks later, I was so mad.
Yeah I have known quite a few fans who did the same thing. Personally, someone had spoiled it for me already so the only shock was how graphic and disrespectfully it was carried out. I was legit posses off when(not using spoiler tag as the OP announced spoilers were a constant in this thread): Lexi Grey on Grey's Anatomy. Come on man, she was getting really really interesting. Just got back with Mark and then BAM. John Locke. One of the most central characters on LOST. I know his body remains on screen but it ain't him. John suffers for answers, sacrifices everything for the island and gets zero remuneration. Randall Flagg. Killed by am afterthought of a chatacter who ended up doing nothing. The walking dude is one of the most loved bad guys in all of fiction. He overplayed his hand but having him knocked off by Mordred was disrespectful and had far less meaning due toMordred not really being a force in the rest of the Dark Tower saga. It was like a hot upstart heel beating the ever living shit out of john Cena live on RAW in front of a record setting home audience, then having the upstart heel just sort of mill around theupper card for a few weeks before he jobs out to an old main eventer. It was wasted. Flagg was built up to be a part of the finale and a threat to Roland's quest. He doesn't come within earshot of Roland. This man once conquered the world before God himself had to step in to stop him. So you have a psychic toddler half spider knock him off eight hundred pages before the main event? Come on man.

Donnie Darko. Only time I've ever properly broken down crying at a character dying. Mostly because of him being relatable and the "Mad World" montage afterwards showing the devestated reaction of his family and the world around him.
