This may be obscure, but Mrs. Gordon's death in As Told By Ginger really hit me hard as a kid. It was probably one of the first times that I had seen a character die on television and it was just heartbreaking. They showed her alive and well just the previous night and she was happy and coming back to teach. It just showed me how unexpected death can be and the swerve at the end of the episode always gets my hopes up that she will be coming back. She never does

Ana Lucia and Libby in Lost. I wanted Michael's blood for him being so stupid. Libby yes. Anna Lucia was forced on us like a bad WWE developmental character. She was an "it girl" and I resented her every scene. I was actually cheering as she expired...then Michael shot Libby and I was pissed bc Hurly wouldn't be getting any payoff Different strokes, I guess...Ana Lucia was growing on me actually. But you're right, Libby was worse for the reason you mention.

In Torchwood: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Why did Ianto have to die? WHY? And Tosh and Owen. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Ianto's death is a big reason why I root for Gwen Cooper to die in the messiest way possible. Why they kept her useless, annoying ass around and offed other, much better characters, I'll never know. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}I never had a problem really with Gwen, but I can see why people would be pissed off since she's the only one other than Jack who didn't die. Well, die permanently. Jack of course died about 100 times.
