I boo that, boo that hard.
Not everything has to be a bloody Infinity Gem, and making them such makes the characters who get them afterwards too powerful - or if they dont get them back, diminishes them.

Currently 97% on RT with only 1 rotten review, (Of course that's Scott Mendleson who is the classic go against the grain of everything) so that that with a grain of salt.

So it's out in South Korea tomorrow. I'm going to go see it with some friends. Enjoy waiting another week.

I'm seeing it Wednesday. I know some of you think "god why does he put himself through this when he rarely likes any of them" but I'm just curious to see how the first movie without the interference of Pearlmutter and his cronies will do. That and I enjoyed Civil War this year.

I gotta be honest, this is my favourite superhero movie of the year.
Yes, Marvel played it safe and yes, it has the usual Marvel tropes but I loved every second of it.
I really liked the post credits scenes too.
Also, the movie is visually stunning.

Seen it. Blah as usual. {Spoiler}Hated the comedy with the cloak, but aside from Strange's quips it was about the only comic relief in the whole film. They should not have used Dormamu in this one, rather they build to him for a sequel or something. Even worse is he looked utter shit and Strange's time loop made him look like a wuss right out of the gate. At least they have the disillusioned Mordu to fall back on next movie

Oops, forgot to mention mid-credit and post-credit scenes {Spoiler}Thor appears in the mid-credit scene, he asks Strange for help in seeking out Odin. Strange agrees on the condition Asguardians never come to Earth again
Second ending is Mordo beginning his turn to the dark side, stealing a sorceror's power.

Just got back from watching it, and I greatly enjoyed it. Looks amazing, and Cumberbatch nailed it. I like the potential for where the MCU can go after this.

I saw it yesterday, really good enjoyed it a lot. Loved the effects and ditko-esque dimension-scapes. Seen it. Blah as usual. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Hated the comedy with the cloak, but aside from Strange's quips it was about the only comic relief in the whole film. They should not have used Dormamu in this one, rather they build to him for a sequel or something. Even worse is he looked utter shit and Strange's time loop made him look like a wuss right out of the gate. At least they have the disillusioned Mordu to fall back on next movie {Spoiler}I thought Dormammu was well handled here, Strange knew he couldn't beat him as he got wrecked groundhog day over and over again. So instead just like the comic book version he tricked him. I like his look too as we only saw his head and a hand.

At least they have the disillusioned Mordu to fall back on next movie Unfortunately... {Spoiler}...from what I'm hearing is we might not get full on heel Baron Mordo in Strange 2 but might get him in Infinity War. Nightmare probably will be the big bad in the sequel. I doubt they off Mordo in the movie but I'm sure Thanos will offer him some kind of power in exchange for his help.
Strange is supposed to be a driving force in that movie so it won't be shocking if Mordo has a big part too. Apparently Strange is involved in helping reunite the fractured Avengers to kick some Thanos ass. I'm also assuming he's willing to break that deal with Thor not returning to Earth pretty quickly.

I just got into the MCU recently and as a result I am still catching up on the movies. My question is would anything major be spoiled or make no sense if I go see Dr Strange before I finish watching through the other movies. Likely by the time I go see it I will be through Phase One.

My question is would anything major be spoiled or make no sense if I go see Dr Strange before I finish watching through the other movies. Likely by the time I go see it I will be through Phase One. It's fairly self-contained with some very minor references to other parts of the MCU in the main film itself, but no spoilers or required watching beforehand. The mid-credits scene brings in references to events that began in a Phase 2 movie, though.
