Mads Mikkelsen's villain get up. Going to guess that some CG is going to be added to those eyes.

while I'm still geeked up, when I think Dr. Strange I don't think about him fighting evil on the lower East side. The Dark Dimension or nothing! Save that for a sequel and Dormammu or Nightmare. Plus the Sanctum Sanctorum is in NYC anyway.

Speaking of I could see Mikkelsen's guy being Nightmare. Though I'm not sure that he'd have a bunch of minions.

I'm sure it'll look better in context, but everything about those pics look dorky to me. Like, really dorky.

oh other than Nightmare the other name I heard people kick around was Magus. Which probably fits the overarching story better as well as the Time Gem. Also similar hair, thing around the eyes, and purple skin

Black Baron Mordo? I imagine that'll be received real well.

Black Baron Mordo? I imagine that'll be received real well. Honestly hadn't heard much backlash on that or the Ancient One being a woman... I'm sure some people are bitching somewhere though Speaking of I am assuming Mordo spends most of this movie as a good guy but I wonder if he'll have his heel turn in this movie (either like the ending stinger or in like act 3) or if they'll just wait until the next Strange movie proper.

Well these are just theories because they are being tight-lipped as to who the hell he is.

Apparently during a break in filming Cumberbatch popped over into a nearby comic book store in his full costume and bought a Doctor Strange comic

Well these are just theories because they are being tight-lipped as to who the hell he is. They'll probably just have him be Dormammu, but at this point he is just possessed or something. If he is The Magus, I will be very disappointed. In my head, Adam is younger and hotter - he is meant to be the perfect human after all - and Mads doesnt fit that description (nor do I think his accent will work seen as I'm picking on the guy)

Dormammu seems like he'd be a bigger threat than would need to be set up... as they'd need to introduce Strange, the Dark Dimension, and then him... but I suppose Magus would also be pretty big for that... especially since Warlock isn't in the Cinematic Universe yet...

Not really. I think people are putting too much thought in to how much set up is needed for Dormammu. The Ancient One just needs to do some exposition and explain that Dormammu is a being from 'outside' (they dont actually need to use the name Dark Dimension, just set up that Dormammu is not from these parts). It's basically the same as what Odin did to explain the Dark Elves in Thor 2. No set up needed, just a bit of narrative exposition at a predetermined point. Magus set up, without Adam first, is a total headf***, and wouldnt work, imo.
