This thread has spoilers for X-Men 3,You have been warned.
First off I'm quite shocked that so many key players were killed off. I know X-men are killed off and brought back many times,But this was unexpected. The story of "The cure" itself was interesting although you had the feeling it wasn't permanent.I would have liked some more x-men to have been in it as well. It's hard to believe that there was only six to fight the final battle.I did enjoy it though even if it seems to be the last.I still hope they are planning a Wolverine movie.
And the Juggernaut says "I'm the Juggernaut bitch!"

The Juggernaut is gonna make that movie. I'm totally gonna mark out whenever he says that single line. For the first time in about... well since V forVendetta, I'm actually excited to go and watch a movie. This will be one of the few times I doubt I'll take advantage of making out with my girlfriend during the film.

Your kidding,I missed it please tell. ok ok, but this is spoiler city after the credits role, theres a 30 second clip. its of the guy that was confined to the bed. earlier while professor X was giving a lecture, they used him as an example, where the professor asked the class would it be inhuman to put our own minds and thoughts into that man who is lifeless. the scene is the guy in the bed looking the same. the nurse goes over to him, and than the man in patrick stewarts voice calls out the womans name (me and my freinds had a debate whether or not it was mystique's name or not) but she looks up and she says.........charles?! what happened is when X gets incenerated by pheonix, we guess he transported his subconcious into that guy, the lifeless guy the whole time you can't see his face though. they sorta do a eyeview shot of it where you just hear the voice. its freaking amazing.

The name he says is Moira, refering to the scientist (not a nurse) Moira MacTaggart, who is taking care of the lifeless man.
X-Men 3 was a typical Brett Ratner movie: utterly anonymous and bland. It was shallow, superficial and forgotten almost before I left the cinema. They introduce a bunch of new characters and they only have a few lines each. You never really get to know them. It seems more important to get to the next big explosion and effect scene (almost every scene is an effect scene).
But it was better than the first two, which were awful. This was just bland. An hour and a half of turning of your mind and vegging out.
I'm glad I didn't spend money on it.

Stupidity aside, Bats Begins wasn't for me I guess...though everyone else loved it. The main gripe for me is, due to the build-up and training boredom took way to long. I didn't mind Katie Holmes, because I went in knowing she was going to be awful. The only thing I liked about the film was the villains were Ra's Al Ghul and Scarecrow (especially Ghul), but he just kind of vanished for no real reason whatsoever. All of that aside, I have better hopes for the sequel, since the origin wont have to be retold.

X3 was a bigger disappointment to me then any/all of the Star Wars prequels. Instead of calling it X3 it should have been called “Wolverine and Storm and co.” And if it were possible, I would charge the whole X-Men movie franchise for rape, for what they did to the character of Cyclops. He spends two movies in the background waiting to be used in any significant way, and when they get to a story that he is a major character in (the Dark Phoenix story) he gets killed off at the beginning of the movie (in the most pointless death in a movie I can think of ever) so Hallie cant get more screen time and gets all of his “Leader of the X-Men” scenes, and Wolvie can get all of his emotional scenes with Jean and Charles. What crap, and I don’t even want to start on the X-Men using the cure on Magneto. Real heroic X-Men. I knew I was going to dislike the movie in one of the earliest scenes, when the Prof. talks to Storm about passing the school on to her instead of Scott. Professer X giving up on Cyclops was symbolic of the movie franchise giving up on Cyclops too. It wouldn’t bother me so much if he was a minor character to begin with, but he isn’t. Cyclops was the first X-Man, the quintessential (field) leader of the team, and half of the longest running and most revered love story in the X-Men's history. He deserves to be a main character in the movies, not a second or third stringer, and he certainly deserved better then the treatment he got in that steamy turd of a movie. /rant

Considering how much I detest Brett Ratner, I was pleasantly surprised with this film. It was perfectly watchable. However there was just too much going on for me.
Postives: There are not many better actors in the world than Ian McKellen. While this may not be the genre to show off his acting skills, he knocks this one out of the park.
Beast : When he finally starts fighting, it is one of those mark-out moments.
Main Negatives:
Cyclops. As the previous post said, Cyclops was the X Man. His 30 seconds of screen time here are a slap in the face.
Juggernaut. Vinnie Jones is so pathetic it hurts. His lines are just plain stupid.
No Nightcrawler. Any director who takes on a comic book adaptation has a tough job. You have to please the comic fans as well as casual viewers. Nightcrawler was arguably the character that both types of fan were pleased with. Alan Cumming nailed the part in X2, so why did they not bring him back?

wow its werid to hear people actually disliking this movie.
honestly though, i'm not a comic book fan, or will ever be. i liked the cartoon, and i didn't even know to much about it. I guess i'm just your average comic book movie mark. it really was awesome to me.

He's not. They start with a flashback scene where his power (wings) first manifest, then we see him as an adult, and he has two or three more scenes, which is almost as many lines as he has. Can't blame them too much. Forsters acting is awful. The pose he does when we fully see his wings the first time is ridiculous and the effects on those wings looks bad. But that was a main problem with this flick. It introduced a bunch of new characters and ideas, yet it was only 90 minutes and wanted to be a huge epic, meaning we never really got to know any of the characters, especially with the amount of screen time Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry needed. Kelsey Grammer is fantastic as beast. He nails that part and it's frustarting that we get to see so little of him. But that can be said about just about everybody in this movie. I reiterate my previous point: It's bland, shallow, mindless time killing. Nothing more, nothing less. I was you, I'd save it for a hung over sunday when I couldn't do much anyway.
