Well, it's equal parts personal preference and from what I know from the tie in comics Marvel has released. For the sake of simplicity, I'll do two versions - with and without the tie-ins. Without: Phase 1: Iron Man Iron Man 2 A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer Thor Incredible Hulk The Consultant Captain America: The First Avenger Agent Carter Avengers Item 47 Phase 2: Iron Man 3 All Hail the King Agents of SHIELD (Pilot-The Hub) Thor: The Dark World Agents of SHIELD (The Well-Repairs) Guardians of the Galaxy Agents of SHIELD (The Bridge-End of the Beginning) Captain America: The Winter Soldier Agents of SHIELD (Turn, Turn, Turn-Beginning of the End) Agents of SHIELD (Shadows-) Now, add in the authorized comics: Phase 1: Iron Man Iron Man: Public Identity Iron Man: Agents of SHIELD Iron Man 2 A Funny Thing Happened on The Way to Thor's Hanmer Thor Incredible Hulk The Consultant Fury's Big Week Black Widow Strikes Captain America: The First Avenger Captain America: First Vengence Agent Carter Avengers Iron Man 3 Prelude Thor: The Dark World Prelude Item 47 Phase 2: Iron Man 3 All Hail The King Agents of SHIELD (Pilot-The Hub) Thor: The Dark World Guardians of the Galaxy Infinite Agents of SHIELD (The Well-Repairs) Guardians of the Galaxy Agents of SHIELD (The Bridge-End of the Beginning) Captain America: The Winter Soldier Agents of SHIELD (Turn, Turn, Turn-Beginning of the End) Agents of SHIELD (Shadows-) As you can see, it's a LOT of material and stuff is still trickling in, thanks to SHIELD and any potential tie ins. But basically there you have it. To answer a few quick questions, I have First Avenger in its slot because of the framing story ( finding Cap in the ice). The order of Iron Man 2, Thor and Hulk is established by Fury's Big Week and that we see Hulk's attack on Culver University playing in the background of the scene between Tony and Fury at the end of Iron Man 2. Given when Coulson gets to New Mexico, that establishes a watching sequence, even if all three happen at the same time. The placement of Guardians is purely subjective, thematically it just works for me to have it after Thor because of the background material with The Collector. YMMV on that one. Any questions? Right on. That's the order I have all the live action stuff in too. Are the tie in comics any good? Does it expand on any essential stuff? They're fine for background and a quick read. The best and most essential is Fury's Big Week, since it explains Project Pegasus and how a lot of chess pieces are placed on the board. Thor: The Dark World Prelude is good since it explains how Thor got back to Earth for Avengers and how the Bifrost was rebuilt. Lots of little things that people have questions about, but not essential to plot.

Last I checked, Captain Marvel has a very sizable fanbase on social media. I prefer Mary Marvel myself.

\ I have 2-3 of that hologram card. I tried forever to get them and then got two damn near back to back. Get a theater guy who knows how to act to the back of the room, plus he fits a main tenant of movies "show don't tell" he will be fine. So I am thinking Civil War makes a rift between the heroes and it turns out Thanos set it all in motion to do jsut that. So he invades afterwards as the heroes are broken. Both sides come to fight, but do it as two facts. Thanos is ready to kill Stark and Cap comes in and takes the blow saving his life. It makes Tony realize he was a dick and they all work together in the next movie. Maybe recruiting the Guardians. Also I do not think they are breaking it up because they are trying to squeeze an extra movie (they can just make another), no, I think the story is too ambitious for one film. that'd be WAY better than the actual Civil War book, I hated that book. If it was revealed that the Skrulls set it in motion in the buildup to Secret Invasion I wouldn't hate it so much Well we don't have to worry about Skrulls here, thanks Fox! (I hear in Fantastic Fakes, the Skrulls are just plastic surgery addicts, because REALISM)

Like I think Marvel is over estimating it's name value and getting cocky by green lighting every obscure character they have Captain Marvel and Black Panther are obscure characters? I mean I could give you inhumans (I had to check wikipedia and youtube to learn more about them) but it's not like they're newer characters like Sentry. And even so, Guardians of the Galaxy were pretty obscure...how did that work out? I still think Inhumans is Marvel's answer to not having the X-Men. At least a little bit.

A world that doesn't instantly throw money at a drunken bisexual demigod who enjoys a good brawl once in a while is not a world I want to live in

I just saw the teaser trailer they showed with Thanos having the gauntlet along with the gems. Yes, I had goosebumps and admittedly choked up a bit upon nerding out, geeking out, and witnessing my childhood coming to life all over again.

I don't believe either of the two live action Hercules movies were Disney
The Animated one from 1997 was.

Only thing that can make this better? Thor: Darcy Dies Horribly. after 50 minutes of HARDCORE NUDITY! But seriously if {Spoiler}it's rumored Natalie Portman is out after AoU then I can see Darcy not playing a part at all.

reads thread......
but seriously, for someone who loved the initial burst of superhero movies and then sort of fell out of love with them when they totally saturated the market with them, this just makes me feel like they are flogging a pony until it totally dies.
that being said, still haven't seen guardians yet but have heard great things, if i like that i might be more inclined to check out a lot of these movies that i have decided to pass on.

It's not really, considering how strong the movies are still going financially and critically 10 movies in. I think Infinity War will be a watershed moment though, and that Marvel will slow down a little after that.

Just how dark is the Black Panther character? I have heard of him before but I am not as aware of his backstory as I am with other Marvel superheroes. I know I could use google, but to have someone's insight into having read the comics with him in would just be a more personal opinion on the tone that I am looking for. Are we talking a bit darker than a normal Marvel character here? Could they do it in a Batman-esc tone and presentation? oh and www.denofgeek.com/movies/black-panther/32723/chadwick-boseman-has-signed-up-for-five-marvel-films
