Just a thought, no Iron Man 4 so where does The Mandarin fit into all of this?

Just a thought, no Iron Man 4 so where does The Mandarin fit into all of this? Probably nowhere. I think the reveal in "Hail to the King" was just Marvel's way of trying to save face/apologize.

Just how dark is the Black Panther character? I have heard of him before but I am not as aware of his backstory as I am with other Marvel superheroes. I know I could use google, but to have someone's insight into having read the comics with him in would just be a more personal opinion on the tone that I am looking for. Are we talking a bit darker than a normal Marvel character here? Could they do it in a Batman-esc tone and presentation? oh and www.denofgeek.com/movies/black-panther/32723/chadwick-boseman-has-signed-up-for-five-marvel-filmsMore like the biggest asshole in the Marvel Universe as far as heroes are concerned. Sure, he has his reasons BUT he's an asshole through and through.

They'll probably "lighten" him up a bit so that he's not too much of an asshole that the audience gets alienated from rooting for him.

Forgot to ask when this happened
Is there any confirmation on Winter Soldier being a part of Civil War as well? I will have a look myself but I am just interested in knowing how many movies Sebastian Stan has signed up for/Winter Soldier is in, as I love the character/the badassery of the character so much.
I also, like durhamcalling, wonder how The Mandarin fits into Phase 3....

Maybe Stark wants to go after him a certain way and Steve objects. Or maybe Hydra will make an attempt to get him back.

Are we talking a bit darker than a normal Marvel character here? Could they do it in a Batman-esc tone and presentation? Like most Marvel characters, it depends on the when - Black Panther wasn't really a dark character for decades, most of that came in the last few years. A bit here and there in the 80s, but got more so in the 2000s. He's a king of an entire country whose main source of energy and revenue is a highly-sought after mineral, so he's always been very...non-comedic, but all the stuff with his country (and him) turning into complete dicks is a fairly recent thing. I still think Inhumans is Marvel's answer to not having the X-Men. At least a little bit. Pretty much. Nail/head. Only thing that can make this better? Thor: Darcy Dies Horribly. I say scrap the Thor movie franchise and replace it with MARVEL'S Hercules. Two underperforming Herules theatrical films this year alone probably have killed off any more for quite a while.
