I don't think Vince will ever do that again unfortunately. Yeah, he looked completely lost, like he had no idea how Austin would press him on some subject or anything of that nature. I don't think he every heard one of Austin's shows or let someone that had fill him in. I'd love to hear another around Wrestlemania (shit, it could be with Hunter for all I care) but I doubt it happens.

Austin asked if he'll be in the hall of fame, Vince gave a very uncomfortable yes and they sat on it in silence for a while before they moved on. I don't think it was uncomfortable at all. Austin barely got the question out and Vince was damn near jumping out of his seat to say yes. Honestly looked like it thew Austin off and he scrambled to come up with a follow up. Yeah I guess that's another way to read it. I just thought Vince's ambiguous "I don't know when but it will" followed by his very short "yeses" as Austin looked for a clear answer, just came off as him saying what he knew would end the discussion faster.

I see that a few people on Twitter are really pissing and moaning about the stuff that wasn't mentioned.
I mean, did people really expect Austin to ask about Owen or Benoit?

Ever since this whole thing started, people were hoping maybe this is what finally shuts down Vince for good. I'm not surprised they feel like Austin didn't do his part to the fullest, if that's what they're really hoping for.

Sounded to me like Vince wants Macho in the Hall, but there's a reason why he isn't there that he didn't want to get into. "Maybe not this year, but soon" sounded like a forgone conclusion to me.

There's no way Triple H would be as graceful at flat-out bullshitting as Vince McMahon.

That was fantastic. Vince refuses to listen to critics, which is probably why things aren't getting better. I know a lot of it is just white noise with how some people are, but constructive criticism can go a long way.
Austin did a great job. I hope he has another 20-30 minutes for this actual podcast as an exclusive.

Austin has said numerous times on his podcast that they're definitely going to do it and that it's all about scheduling it in person when it works for both of them. Austin has no interest in doing it over the phone. Hopefully by Mania we'll get to hear that one. It's gonna be great. Hell, HHH already did Jericho's for crying out loud. It's annoying he hasn't done Austin's yet.

Just like the Punk podcast, I'm going to have to go over this one again, but my initial instinct from the show reaffirms my suspicion that Vince is well and truly out of touch with the modern product.
- He thought tonights show "started with a bang"...really? - He thought tonight was a good show - He made out as if the fans have never connected with Cesaro, despite his amazing reactions up to and including Wrestlemania. - He thought Brock Lesnar was the only viable option to break the streak (Well maybe that sort of decision is why your roster is lacking stars)
Also I'm a little frustrated that Austin didn't push the Randy Savage thing, all it needed was a follow up like "Why has it taken so long?".

At best, HHH would have just said that he wasn't the one who personally sent out the termination. I get that there'd be a lot of schadenfreude in seeing Vince and HHH sued out of their boots and WWE reduced to worthlessness, but honestly, I don't really want to see that.

I thought that was awesome. Austin did a superb job of asking tough questions, but still letting Vince get his word in.
As far as criticism about not asking the SUPER tough questions, those people wouldn't be happy unless Vince said "I saw Savage rape teenage Stephanie so that's why I pushed Owen off the rafters and forced Benoit to take Steroids and use the flying headbutt as a finish. I also would've gotten CM Punk killed with a staph infection too if it wasn't for you damn internet kids!!!"

Also, though I think Vince handled the Punk thing about as well as he possibly could, the wedding day termination and the creative disagreements are small turkey compared to the near fatal staph infection he was working with.

Why would anyone who is a wrestling fan want Vince shut down? Also why would anyone think Austin himself would put Vince in a spot where he really could say something that would get him shut down?

Honestly looked like it thew Austin off and he scrambled to come up with a follow up. Its an easy follow up. Just ask him about this weird silence there was about Macho compared to everyone else in the years following the death of WCW where they went back to embrace their history. What I am saying is I think Austin expected that his first question would have Vince hemming and hawing and saying a lot of nothing in 500 words on why it wouldn't happen. When that didn't happen and Vince was all "Yeah he'll be in", Austin was stunned and wanted to continue on the Hall discussion since that has been the main topic for years.

Haven't read through the entire thread, but did anyone else catch a sly (probably unintentional) disrespecting of Triple H when Vince answered that there was no one in today's WWE like Jim Ross who had his ability to communicate directly with talent....
IF I'm not mistaken the job that JR had has not been eliminated and is currently being held by the aforementioned Mr. Haitch....so by all means there SHOULD be someone with said skills utilizing them in the same capacity that JR did.
