So when Neville gets called up he's going to have a robot arm and a stupid trucker hat to go with the Red Arrow, right? Shut up and take my money! Team him with Eva Marie and Ryder in a metal mask. And then cancel the whole thing. |

I don't see the problem, I thought it was freakin awesome. I remember people clamoring for a power/paint team a few years ago by putting Mason Ryan and Big Zeke together, which would've sucked.
I don't watch NXT and know very little about the Ascension. This is my first real exposure to them and going by a 30 second vigenett I'm looking forward to their debut.

I actually don't mind the gear, very Demolition/Road Warriors. But yeah, that was kinda corny.
*Edit: this further seals my belief they need a manager, James Mitchell or someone with similar characteristics. Seriously, they totally need a Mr Fuji of they're own hamming it up in the background.

I welcome the change up with the Ascension. Basically it's their current gimmick but with facepaint and stereotypical 80's screaming wrestler catchphrases. Wrestling needs over the top gimmicks to make a return and without a hook, these two are a CAW duo.

Its the modern day Legion of Doom gimmick. Nothing wrong with that either, as I compare them to LOD. Not as good of course, but they are a decent power team that will get better.

I'd pair Corbin with him as well when he's ready to be called up. |

I'm pretty sure I've heard Demolition use that Dine on Destruction line... Eh... I don't mind it... I'm all for face paint... though something other than just random line on their foreheads would look better (oh and the eye of horus)... ambivalent on the entrance gear stuff. and really is what they are saying really any more corny than total anni-YAH-lation? It's a reference to Hawk's famous line, "We snack on danger and dine on death". The facepaint is even reminiscent of Hawk.  I like it, if I were ten years old, I'd love it. |

You know what ? I loved this. Classic Road Warriors/Demolition/Powers of Pain promo. Old fashioned - yes. Also looks great fun.
