Clearly looking at how well his beard has been trimmed he is not ready for a comeback. If he was truely feeling a return was appropriate it would be more unkemp Tell me about it, I was hoping for a truly awesome comeback beard. Like that one Edge had at Survivor Series 2008.

Did anyone watch his interview on the App/wwe.com where he said they went to another doctor who knew what the problem was, fixed it pretty much straight away and now he is healing and has been cleared to return? The fact he's been away all this time tells me they wouldn't suddenly now go "oh well, f*** the doctors, you're in ring again". I believe him if he says he's safe to go. Anyone can find a doctor to tell them what they want to hear. I'm not saying that this is the case in this situation but if you're desperate on the sidelines and want to get back to work and fear that the prognoses given before makes the prospects of doing so look bleak then if you found a doc that says something different you'd jump at it. Again not saying this necessarily applies but if you have 15 docs who tell you it's bad news and one who has a different opinion you'll go with that, even though his might be a minority, albeit qualified opinion. You'd imagine the doctor(s) he went to first are experts in their field at treating wrestlers/sportsman injuries. The fact he needed to go beyond those trusted, first port of call consultants, does smack of "asking until you get the answer you want". I hope for his sake that this isn't the case. And the doctor that said Bryan was good to go

I echo this sentiment though. Before he came back we were hearing that there were chances he may never wrestle again. You go from that to being "I'm back!" So yeah, i thought the same thing, when I read Bryan was announcing his return the first thing in my head was "how?" That was due to the nature of the procedure he had done, that was just the worst case scenario. Seemingly it went well.

Given how emotional he was and how rational a human being he seems to be I doubt Bryan would consider coming back unless he was 100% sure or as close to it as possible that it would be as safe as possible.

I cannot see how Bryan is medically cleared to return. He looked visibly ill during RAW. Go watch it again, his face reveals his hidden illness that he is trying to hide. I do not want Bryan to drop dead in the ring. I have a very ill feeling that something bad is going to happen to him on the level of Owen Hart or the Chris Benoit tragedy. Just what the WWE does not need. I feel like there should be a secret camera recording people's reactions to reading this.

I like how this user has indepth medical knowledge and apparent access to medical records.

I am a little worried about him, and frankly I wonder if all the fans angrily demanding that Bryan win the Rumble and beat Lesnar at Mania even think about it.

I don't see any reason to speculate whether or not Bryan is cleared. He said that he was ready and it's his body, what other confirmation do we need? Documentation, of course. Obviously, the conclusions cited must be verified by a number of medical professionals (all of whom, by the way, must forfeit their licenses and any other form of certification to a review board—a board, mind you, that has already been extensively vetted—for comprehensive evaluation) before we can truly believe that any and all issues pertaining to the one Daniel Bryan have been competently addressed. However, is that REALLY enough? I, personally, don't think this is even the real Daniel Bryan. Trimmed beard, a fairly nice outfit? Sounds suspect to me. I think we should also require identification for the man calling himself "Daniel Bryan." Actually, better yet, let's just pose these questions on a random internet board—that's usually how these types of matters get solved.

WWE would have it's own tests to make sure he will be cleared to wrestle. There are laws that stop them from letting a guy kill himself in the ring.

I like how this user has indepth medical knowledge and apparent access to medical records. That is because he is Doctor House, a maverick doctor who doesn't play by the rules

Not only is Daniel Bryan's beard neatened, he's also sporting a short ponytail. Once he gets some wire framed glasses he'll be ready to run down heels by talking about how he listens to music they definitely wouldn't understand.
He was even wearing an ironed plaid flannel shirt!

There is always the possibility he was working everyone. Imagine, in this day and age, a fan might not know everything. Outside of his wife and Vince, who does he really gotta tell how things are? The doctor? So there's 3 people.
Also, I'm not a doctor, though I've seen a shit ton of ER, I'm not so certain you can drop dead in the ring from an arm injury.

Even if Vince personally disliked Bryan and didn't care if he got hurt, avoiding a lawsuit and the negative publicity of him coming back too soon and seriously reinjuring himself would far override it.

I just don't understand how in a matter of days we get from people bemoaning the fact that Punk was repeatedly asked to return early from surgeries/injuries and the insinuation that WWE used doctors and medical professionals who would be inclined to err on the companies side rather than administer treatment for the good of the wrestler so as they can return early..
...to days later everyone agreeing that McMahon would never rush Daniel Bryan back or keep sending him to different doctors until he found one that gave him a more palatable answer.
Why when it was Punk was everyone outraged that this went on and yet with Bryan it's some kind of incomprehensible 'would never happen' scenario?
This is Vince McMahon we're talking about. A man who for 30+ years has been happy for guys to work through injury, probably against or sans medical advice. We even have example of it from Punk in an interview that's barely a few weeks old. Unless people have insight into his new years resolutions why suddenly now is that reality completely unrealistic and unthinkable?

There's absolutely nothing actually indicated this happened outside of random conspiracy theories. Nothing. It's not like some news report came out suggesting Bryan's not healthy or something and people are arguing against it, they're just not inclined to believe some random speculative bullshit with absolutely nothing backing it.

When is there anything backing something up? Between this and stuff that gets dismissed as "newz" the only thing we'd be discussing here is WWE.com articles if the criteria is that only confirmed news can be discussed or speculated upon. We're already discussing the "failed" Reigns main event push before it's even happened for crying out loud. But that doesn't negate the hilarity of weeks after the Punk revelations people are dismissing the idea that someone could be asked to return to work before they're ready or given medical advice/treatment to keep the companies needs. All we know is that the answers he was getting from the first doctor or set of doctors, wasn't satisfactory to them so they went elsewhere. Why or to how many others they went - who knows but speculating that WWE might be bringing someone back for injury sooner than they shouldn't isn't some wild speculation it's well documented common practice over the years. The timing is also slightly suspicious that yet again someone is suddenly fit enough too return just in time for RR/Mania season. Almost as if the body knows that it's money-time.

There's still a difference between somebody with some actual sources saying what they've heard and somebody just making up something. There's just as much reason to believe that Cena had a seizure on a plane the other day from an overdose and is about to be fired for it. Why not? It's happened in WWE before. And even if you do allow for WWE demanding him back, why now when it potentially screws up their Reigns plans? Why bring him in as a warm body on a PPV that'll sell without his presence? Why not wait for Mania or better yet, if they don't care at all about his well-being, why not bring him in for SummerSlam so they could've done the planned Lesnar match?
