Did anyone watch his interview on the App/wwe.com where he said they went to another doctor who knew what the problem was, fixed it pretty much straight away and now he is healing and has been cleared to return? The fact he's been away all this time tells me they wouldn't suddenly now go "oh well, f*** the doctors, you're in ring again". I believe him if he says he's safe to go. Anyone can find a doctor to tell them what they want to hear. I'm not saying that this is the case in this situation but if you're desperate on the sidelines and want to get back to work and fear that the prognoses given before makes the prospects of doing so look bleak then if you found a doc that says something different you'd jump at it. Again not saying this necessarily applies but if you have 15 docs who tell you it's bad news and one who has a different opinion you'll go with that, even though his might be a minority, albeit qualified opinion. You'd imagine the doctor(s) he went to first are experts in their field at treating wrestlers/sportsman injuries. The fact he needed to go beyond those trusted, first port of call consultants, does smack of "asking until you get the answer you want". I hope for his sake that this isn't the case. It depends. My wife and I are infertile. She "doctor-shopped" for a while. One gynecologist threw up her hands. Another, a militant lapsed Catholic, basically called me a negligent husband because I wanted to take a spiritual approach. Finally, I Googled an NFP doctor locally. Coincidentally, he is world renowned for his expertise. While we are officially diagnosed as an infertile couple, he also treats the symptoms that made my wife infertile. Her health is the best it's been since I met her. I don't want D Bry to wrestle until his neck explodes like Misawa's. That's his decision. Most doctors I have learned play it safe. I don't want him running to the only doctor who will tell him what he wants to hear. I want him to make an informed decision about his future.

Not only is Daniel Bryan's beard neatened, he's also sporting a short ponytail. Once he gets some wire framed glasses he'll be ready to run down ON HIS FIXIE heels by talking about how he listens to music they definitely wouldn't understand. He was even wearing an ironed plaid flannel shirt! Fixed.

To me, there's a difference between saying "I wonder if he's still not 100%" and saying "He's defying medical orders because I heard he had X surgery." This thread started firmly in the latter, which is what makes it so ridiculous.

They got a Doctor to clear him to wrestle. A Doctor... of Thugonomics. His recovery methods consist of having patients lay down for a three second tan. I think that's a little suspect, rehabilitation wise. I also saw him in the next man's sweater at my last doctor's appointment. I wouldn't trust him.

The way I see it, Bryan has been struggling with his medical issues for a very long time, seeing Doctor after Doctor, getting test after test. Getting surgery that did not work, trying physical therapy that did not work. To precis my point again: if those reports were actually all true, which we don't know for sure at all. It is not beyond WWE to leak false information, or, God forbid, journalists who have no governing body to adhere to, to completely make shit up. Or hell, wrestlers in WWE to make shit up to leak to the dirtsheets so that they're a 'reliable source' for the WON or whoever.

There's been a ton of speculation around the validity of WWE's medical practices because of the Punk podcast, but I guarantee you if a doctor told him he was done that Vince wouldn't let him back in the ring. Edge would still be wrestling according to this logic.

Possibly, but a lot more is going on than it seems and all options are on the table for mania.

Hes perfectly healthy and going to win rumble and title at WM again.
There's no way they could clear him after the whole Punk and the doctor fiasco

It's not paranoid to suggest and wonder about this, especially after how they treated CM Punk medically and the details that came out regarding that. It's well known there is intense pressure to work hurt or give up big money, more so during mania season.
I think he found a doctor that would rubber stamp his healing just enough to convince the WWE he can work, or the WWE located a shill doctor that would accept money to give a clean bill of health.
Again, the only real truth for or against his healing is that we will all see from his in ring showings if he really did get better or was doing something along the lines I suggest. I love Bryan and I want him to be happy and healthy. He is a genuine good guy unlike CM Punk so I want the best for him. I don't want him to work hurt due to peer pressure from corporate who dangles big money in front of him. I know it was his dream to work in the WWE but he has reached the top and has nothing else to prove.

I know it was his dream to work in the WWE but he has reached the top and has nothing else to prove. If he didn't come back when he was WWE champion and they extended his reign just in case why would now be the time to rush back with the immense pressure. My favorite was the Tommy John surgery story came in September where it said that because he wasn't an MLB pitcher rehab would have taken him to Rumble. So then months later it was reported he needed Tommy John surgery and I was confused because if it was reported months ago why would he just go get it in December? So in conclusion we are not doctors or Daniel Bryan's doctors so who knows what was going on
