I just want to weigh in to agree that the Muppets Raw was incredible. Also, at least WWE's never had a fictional character have to bail out one of their top faces. They've done some stupid shit with crossovers but they haven't hit full Robocop. A former World Champion lost a match thanks to interference by Beaker.

Yeah I wasn't expecting such hostile discussion from a weird thought I had at 2 am.
I'm glad you think enough of me Carp to think I'm trying to expose injustice.
All those pics came from the scientific Google search "wwe stupid" ha.
My point is it is all ridiculous. I don't hate any of it. Just makes a ridiculous thing like wrestling EVEN more ridiculous. But good job proving me wrong dudes.

I will not stand for anyone comparing WWE's usage of The Muppets to WCW having Rick Steiner seriously calling out Chucky. Yeah. The fact that WCW booked Rick Steiner to seriously get his ass verbally handed to him by Chucky... That was almost as idiotic as them booking him to kidnap himself. Their problem was choosing Rick Steiner for that segment and not his brother.

The first couple times I heard the Chucky laugh on Nitro, I actually was kind of like "WTF???" Then I saw the first commercial for Bride of Chucky and just pu two and two together. So when Chucky appeared on the tron it was no surprise.

By the way, where is this movie project that Chucky was working on where Scott Steiner was gonna lead? It never came.

Having Chucky show up and cut a promo about his movie wasn't stupid. Rick Steiner challenging him to a match was. That's what I remember the most about it as well. It was so stupid it was comical.

Yeah, but that was WCW. And WCW sucked. They weren't entertaining anyone or putting smiles on people's faces. Speak for yourself, i would rather have 24 hours of the WCW Russo era on continuous loop than 5 mins of the current dirge WWE calls "Entertainment".

I don't want to live in a world where Sin Cara and Scooby Doo can't roll into Raw in the Mystery Machine.

1: Chucky: Hyped up for weeks with his laugh being heard in arenas. He finally shows up and has a promo with Rick Steiner that implies they're going to have an angle. Nothing happens. 2: Scooby Doo: He shows up as a form of cross-promotion to hype the Scooby/WWE cartoon. It's not a dog; it's clearly a person in a suit, which is less ridiculous than a talking doll (Rocco was no better). Scooby shows up for one segment involving midcarders during a period marketed toward children. 3: TMNT: Showed up because their brand was sponsoring the PPV. All they did was dance in the skybox for a minute or two. They were not part of an angle and did not even enter the ring. 4: The Muppets: Showed up to promote a movie after one week's notice and were mostly involved in throwaway comedy segments. Also appeared during a period marketed toward children. 5: Grumpycat: Is a live animal and also was used for throwaway segments. Moral of the story: Dragon Dragon would destroy them all!!! Well he would have...

I found the MacGruber episode really really unfunny and bad, even though I like MacGruber generally. Chucky is alwayas good though.

Somewhat related, I just got done watching and the anti-WCW bias in the Monday Night Wars on the Network is hilarious.
Vince never did ANYTHING to try and hurt WCW only to help his own company. EVERYTHING that WCW did was with the sole inyention of hurting Vince. The way Vince spouts this bullshit in such a sombre tone is great. Also I am convinced that he genuinely thinks WWE in 1996/7 was undoubtedly better than WCW and the fans were simply wrong to watch the inferior product.
