I was with about 6 friends in a bar in Manchester (along with about 100 other wrestling fans), it must have been about 3am at this point. We had a range of emotions but all different versions of shock. My best friend was acting like his dog had just been run over, another of my friends who has been a huge Undertaker mark since the beginning (with kid fancy dress photos from 1991 to prove it) had a massive grin on his face.
I was somewhere in the middle. I think there's a guy the camera picks up in a white suit jacket who just keeps saying WOW and kinda half grinning half stunned, I was pretty much like that.
Then I got quite emotional (I blame the beer !) as The Undertaker took, what I thought was, his final walk from the ring,

Honestly?
"That was lame." It was a poor match and the ending seemed very anti-climactic. Then afterwards a general pissed-off feeling for days.
I'm still not totally satisfied with them breaking the Streak, I'd have kept it going, but can understand why since. And always why Taker's concussion screwed the match quality. Brock re-signing means there's more mileage out of it yet.
I do think it's a real shame how very quickly Taker's WM rep has changed from "likely to have the best match on the show" to "wrestling that beat-up old codger gets Wyatt nothing!"

I was getting ready to type that having Undertaker kick out of a third F5 seemed a little ridiculous...and then he didn't kick out. And my mind had to process all that just like how the crowd was silent. When Brock hit the F5 and immediately went for the pin rather then lying down exhausted, my reaction was "Well, now they've booked themselves in a corner. Either Taker kicks out of a third F5, which would make Brock look unnecessarily weak, or Brock gets the win at Mania, and neither one seems likely..."

I was just chatting to my girlfriend because the match was kinda dick and neither one of us bought for a second that Brock would win. We weren't even looking at the screen. So it was something like 'ha ha ha ha ha ha, good one... WHAT?'

Wrestlemania should be memorable, and Wrestlemania 30 had Brock Lesnar ending the streak and Daniel Bryan beating Triple H, Batista and Randy Orton in the same night.
I'd struggle to name the main events of the previous ten Wrestlemanias.

The wierdest thing was, I had the ending spoiled for me (I was out that Sunday so I didn't watch it live) and I still couldn't believe it when I watched the repeat like two days afterwards. It didn't feel real, not like in the wrestling-isn't-real sense, but in the sense that I was watching something that couldn't possibly be a planned and approved part of the show. Especially with the way the match actually went. There was no glorious last stand, no struggle, it was like Undertaker just gave up halfway through. It was just depressing to watch.
Of course in the placement of the card it was pretty perfect. The show was really upbeat up until that point (Austin, Rock and Hogan have a moment, Bryan easily beats HHH, the fan favorite wins the battle royale, Jesus H. Cena resists temptation) and then BAM, the biggest upset in the history of wrestling happens and suddenly all the good vibes are stomped dead, suddenly the outcome of the main event that seemed like a foregone conclusion up to that point was totally up in the air again. If Undertaker and Bryan had both won, it would still have been a memorable show, but the fact that Bryan managed to squeeze out a win AFTER the living symbol of the babyface comeback had just been unceremoniously squashed made it all the greater.

"Ugh, he's going to kick out of THREE F5's?" as I'm half paying attention to the boring match.
Then it happened. And I just grinned and laughed my ass off in disbelief as my brother sat there stunned.

Like I said, when Ronda Rousey eventually loses a fight I so hope that shocked face guy and Heyman are there.

I was there live, and I (and most people around me) didn't think much of it because we were expecting a fake-out ending, like another ref running out to say Taker had his shoulder up or something. It wasn't until the next match started that everyone really believed it, and I don't think it comes across on the broadcast how hostile the crowd was during the next match.

I was actually drifting off to sleep at that point (as I had already been up for well over 24 hours). When Lesnar hit the F5, I muttered to myself, "He's going to kick out again" as I slowly started to drift off. When I heard the three count, I bolted up from my near-slumber in shock. I thought I had dreamed the moment, then thought somebody screwed up and it wasn't supposed to be three. Needless to say, I was awake for the rest of the show.

I thought to myself from the get go, he's not gonna win on two F-5's, but if he hits 3 then it'd be interesting. So when he hit the 3rd one, I for a brief moment was like "uh oh..." and then had my hands on my head within a second in absolute disbelief

I was there... It was total shock... It felt like my brother and friend were the only people in the building cheering. Initially we thought the ref had Fd up. But once we saw the logo 21-1 we knew. Lots of grown men crying and pouting after the fact.

I've always had this weird connection to the Undertaker. Almost like I grew up with him, he was my favorite wrestler when he debuted as a heel... he was my favorite wrestler when he turned face, and he remained that way forever. It got to the point where when I ranked my top five or ten wrestlers... I wouldn't put Undertaker on the list because he was beyond number 1 to me. I even would take him out of wrestling matches in video games because I couldn't have him ever lose. So, part of the streak was me thinking I could just enjoy the match because there's no way it'd ever end. I looked forward to the Lesnar match because I can't remember Undertaker ever getting a clean win over Brock (I'm probably wrong, but I honestly can't think of one) .. and this would be his redemption. Then the three count happened and I forced a grin like, "Huh, interesting turn of events." When inside I was like, "What the f***ing f***? What the f***ing f***?" It took quite a while for me to even get into the triple threat match because I was so taken aback by it all... and I refused to re-watch Wrestlemania just because of that match. Even though I know it was time, it made sense in the long run, and using that as a way to build Brock into an even more unstoppable monster was great booking. There's always gonna be a part of me that identifies with Undertaker, that always wants him to come out on top and to never look week. At Wrestlemania he looked weak and didn't come out on top... I had trouble coming to terms with that. As stupid as it sounds, at 35 years old... I still felt like one of those little kids you see in the stands when their favorite guy just got beaten. Similar to this story. But here's my story to add to that: I brought a bunch of my friends with me to Wrestlemania XXX in New Orleans because I knew it would be a historic event but one of the big reasons is none of my friends have had the privilege of seeing the Undertaker live. I'm a huge Undertaker fan & so were they. We figured the Streak would be intact by the end of the show. We were shocked, just as shocked as all the fans they showed on the hard cam. I dropped my drink cup out of sheer shock. My friend Sam, she yelled out No! My friend Kurt was pissed off & couldn't get over it for the rest of the night. My boyfriend was in stunned silence. It was the most surreal moment I've witnessed in person at Wrestlemania XXX. We all became kids again; we were upset & shocked that our hero had lost. We mourned the loss. It was like the 5 stages of dying.

I thought it was a botch and was just shocked because I never saw it coming. It was sad that it was finally done, and I thought this was his last in ring appearance ever.

So WrestleMania 30 was the first wrestling event I ever went to a bar for and it was probably one of my favourite experiences ever. People were dressed up as the nWo, Bray Wyatt, Mankind, even a Harper or two. It was so much fun.
I went on my own but ended up hanging on a table with three other guys where we had a small TV near our table besides the bigger ones and it was a fun event to snark at...well, until it started and I pretty much couldn't snark at Bryan/HHH and the legends segment before then.
And then it reached the streak. Just like the stadium, nobody really got into it. The match wasn't very good and all the talk was about that (obviously, we know the reasons now, but we didn't then) and it just didn't get up a gear besides two or three alright moments.
So as they were both kicking out of things, it was more like everyone was hurrying up to the end. Brock hit the 3rd F5 and everyone was expecting the kickout.
There wasn't a kickout.
The entire bar exploded in screams like a penalty in a football/soccer match against England in a big tournament. Then the silence went down and nobody said anything. This was a crowd into everything and going crazy for everything, Cesaro winning the battle royale, the Shield killing the Attitude Era, everything. And after the streak ended, it was so quiet, you could hear a pin drop if it wasn't for the commentary.
There were a few randoms celebrating, with one person coming over to our table and going 'THAT MEANS FANDANGO IS UNDEFEATED AT WRESTLEMANIA!'
I celebrated with him until I went 'Wait...what about the battle royale?'
In the most joking fashion, he went 'F*** YOU!' and went off. I ruined that poor guy's night.
It was one of the most surreal things I have ever been a part of.
