I'm very sorry to report that last night Britany turned on the other members of Riot Control. She is now in cahoots with Quadruple H and his wife Steffi Mackinack as a member of The Establishment. She has well and truly sold out. That f***ing bitch!

French Canadian Indy. Razeur Ramon. Dites bonjour à le méchant I don't think I've ever seen someone who absolutely looked French-Canadian. But, here we are...

Even Colder 3:19 vs D.O.C. Have to give him credit, that stunner was awesome. But check out those jeans shorts. If he wasn't bald, I'd think it was a mash up wrestler, "Stone Cold Steve Richards".

Those jorts are just rockin. I mean those are washing your 1985 Thunderbird on a Saturday morning while listening to Whitesnake jorts.

Holy shit. I just saw that Riot Control is from my area. Like 20 minutes away. They haven't updated their sites since last year.
Guys.... I need to find and reunite Riot Control!

As a tribute to Dusty Rhodes...remember the Dream Machine in Memphis?
He wore a mask and talked like Dusty, he had a similar body also.

I know Amazing Red never looked like Rey Mysterio, but in the early 2000's he did so many of his signature moves and wrestled like him. Like for f*** sakes his finisher was a 619 that he called the 718! he's more of an ascended fanboy than a ripoff. Though in MLW he did look like Rey, when he wore a mask as Misterio Red. I think this was definitely more supposed to be tribute than passing off though, as the commentators mentioned him as being Amazing Red quite a lot.

Riot Control looks like a bad nu-metal band. As if there is any other kind...

Plowboy Frazier is the most famous rip-off gimmick guy of all time. He was a fake Kamala, a Convict, a Haystacks Calhoun hillbilly, one of many Lone Rangers...the list is pretty long. Basically, if there's a fat guy version of something, he did it in Memphis.

Any day now, Superstar Billy Graham will join the forum, just to post a picture of Hulk Hogan, Jesse Ventura and Scott Steiner on this thread.

I went to this very show (well, different venue, but the same company with the same poster). 'DX' came out with a scrawny 16-year-old girl in a green crop top who was supposed to be Tori, they had a guy as Mankind who came back out later on as Rikishi, and similarly a Rey Mysterio that was also Scotty 2 Hotty. It was one of those shows that seem to be particularly common in the UK where the ring announcer talks throughout the matches and basically goads kids into chanting, but you could tell his knowledge of wrestling began and ended with Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks so none of the chants he tried to lead were ones the actual wrestlers received. Then weirdly in the second half there was a women's match where both girls played their own original characters and it was actually really good. Rock Steadfast was even fatter and older in person than he looks on the poster.

Rock Steadfast was even fatter and older in person than he looks on the poster. Did they actually announce the X-Pac expy as "D-X"? From what I remember, yes they did. The idea that people who ran a wrestling show wouldn't know that DX is the name of the stable seems ridiculous, I'd say it was for legal reasons but when they were flagrantly violating copyright on so many other counts I doubt that was a concern. But like I say, this was an old-timey end-of-the-pier British wrestling show where the wrestlers just so happened to be dressed as WWF characters and bust out the odd signature move of theirs in an effort to cash in on the boom period without changing any of their age-old tropes, so it's possible they were out-of-touch enough to make that mistake. But then, if you'd done enough research to know he has a girlfriend called Tori who wears the same colours as him, surely you'd find out his name was X-Pac? The whole thing was just bizarre.
