Irrationally, part of me thought this would never happen. He was so cool and badass, I thought he'd outlive us all.
RIP, Sir Christopher. He lived a full, long life filled with accomplishment, and he will be missed.

You will find few people to ever match the film legacy of Christopher Lee. Horror legend, icon in geek circles, and a man who fought Nazis in WWII and had his own metal album. Now that's a badass life lived. RIP.

The first movie that I watched of him was The Stupids. As dumb as that movie may have been, I remember it due to him being quite hammy on his role there.
In any case, I agree with the others. What a hell of a life he lived. RIP to the man.

Damn. I mean I knew it would be happening in like the next couple of years cause the dude was so old, but I still wasn't ready for it, especially after seeing him only months ago in the last Hobbit film. RIP to a man who lived a long, fulfilled life who was doing things until shortly before his death.

Helluva life he lived, can't really have a more thorough life than that.
That being said, at 93, pretty much any sudden respiratory illness can do you in, sad to say.

Just seen this on my facebook feed.
Terrible terrible news.
R.I.P to a man, soldier, singer/songwriter, actor, legend
Count Dracula. Prince Of Darkness. Lord Summerisle. Saruman. Francisco Scaramanga. Count Dooku. Among countless other classic characters.
This man was in most of my media study films of what needed to be analysed to gain a wider knowledge on the history of cinema from the start of the subject, which shows his impact on film that is felt to this day.

RIP The first thing I saw him in was Gremlins 2. Me, too. Only years later did I get the joke behind his character's name.

RIP to one of the greatest. I am sure Peter Cushing and Vincent Price were glad to be reunited with him. But man, between Tim Curry and now this it has been a lousy week for my faves.

God, that voice. Argue its second only to Vincent Price to putting your hair on end. As for how I'll remember him, yes, Sauruman, Dracula, Dooku, many others. But the one burned in my brain is when he was slumming it. The great Sir Lee having to put on a pair of Ray-Bans during Howling II. Just... wow.
And do some research into his service during WWII. That's honestly scarier than any horror role he played.
Rest well, Sir Lee. We will miss you and we will never forget.
