So, today is Windows 10's launch day and I gotta tell you, I love it. I love the new Start Menu, the cleaner desktop, the faster performance, even the new Edge browser is great. Microsoft really knocked it out of the park here.

I could get it now, I'm just waiting to see what the response is for it before I get it. I don't want to get it and then be stuck with something like Vista.

I'm going to hold off for a while before I upgrade, but if it's a good OS, then that's great. In such a case, I look forward to using it.

I'm waiting a few weeks to upgrade. Everything I've heard about Win10 sounds great, but I just want to wait for the early adoption bugs to be sorted out before upgrading.

Testing it for a long time. To me it's as big a revelation as Windows 7 was when it came out. That being said, nah still some bugs in it. You can, and I recommend it for those that want to try it out, set up a dual boot. www.howtogeek.com/197647/how-to-dual-boot-windows-10-with-windows-7-or-8/Here's a good step by step on how to do it. This way you won't run into any compatibility issues with some older software that run on 7 or 8 that have issues on 10.

How can you upgrade? Is a notice suppose to appear, or do I have to go somewhere to get it?

It's a free upgrade for a limited time for those with Windows 7 or 8. There has been issues though getting the notice to appear. Getting it to show up is tied into 2 updates from windows update. Not sure which off the top of my head but a quick "windows 10 upgrade icon not showing" google will help out.

I clicked the icon at the bottom and 'reserved' my copy, but I haven't gotten any notifications or prompts to actually upgrade to it yet.

For Linux users:
Remember that upgrading to Windows 10 will remove your Linux Grub bootloader thingy. To get your it back you'll have to use your Live CD/USB. As you can tell this is detailed technical advice.

It looks good, but I'll wait a month or two for any major bugs to be ironed out. Plus how about games, graphics/sound drivers, ect ?

I upgraded last night. Somehow I started upgrading about 10PM my time zone. I was actually kind of surprised to see the upgrade ready for me at that time.

Hoping to upgrade when I get home, have been hearing fantastic things about 10 and lots of comparisons to the Vista to 7 transition so quite excited to play around with it.

I hate the black taskbar look and I hate how it says "search the web and windows" on the bottom left corner. So distracting

I had the same, that I would know when it was ready even today but when I checked Windows Update it was already 67% downloaded.

I don't know if I would call Windows 10 amazing but it is definitely a vast improvement over Windows 8. Windows XP is still king though.
