That loss stunk but we got to see almost the entire Royals pen and gave them troubles for a bit.
This series absolutely isn't over.

I watched until about 1:00, just at the end of the 13th.
A friend of mine in the Netherlands was watching with me and we laughed all the way through the FOX truck fiasco.
Just about the same time I logged off, his local TV station switched to scheduled programming, probably to tell him to GO TO SLEEP!!!!

I love the Vince McMahon logic people have for why the Royals are boring.
"People don't want singles. They want Big. Huge. Homeruns. That makes the game interesting. Trotting around the bases casually after the ball is no longer in play. That keeps people on the edge of their seat."
If it was their pitching, that would be the next excuse some people would use.

If baseball really cared about getting more home runs, they would've made steroids mandatory like blurnsball did.

Did ya miss the part where the article states how it is perfectly legal?

Did ya miss the part where the article states how it is perfectly legal? The Royals say it is perfectly legal. No, the article itself points out that position players may use pine tar to grip the ball. This before the update with the Royals statement. For those that need it:

For those that need it: Yeah....I edited it. But they don't even know what it is. If it is pine tar, then yeah....it's legal.

I am truly baffled at the amount of hate the Royals are getting.

I don't think I've ever seen as bad sore losers as I've seen from the Blue Jays fanbase. It's embarrassing.

I don't think I've ever seen as bad sore losers as I've seen from the Blue Jays fanbase. It's embarrassing. It's only sore because of the fan interference HR being the difference. I've said it a million times. If the Royals had won 3 - 1 which they were potentially doing, I would have accepted it. It's that they won with a BS call being the difference that pisses me off. And if you are wondering why the Royals are so hated, it's because they are a team that likes to run their mouth and lead the league in bench clearing brawls.

Stop the Blue Jays fans bashing and bashing of indvidual cities. Some of you are taking things too far.

I will say that I was annoyed last night at the home plate umpire; fine, dude had to work 14 innings, but his zone was all over the place all damn night. I don't think he was trying to help one team or another, as the Royals missed out on some calls low in the zone, but it was driving me crazy how it felt like the Royals would get calls on the corners while the Mets wouldn't. Talked to some folks watching with a statcast to see if the strikezone was consistent, and results were pretty mixed.
Still, Mets had their chances in a number of cases, couldn't put them away. Good news is like Ani said, they made KC's bullpen throw a lot of pitches last night; Herrera, Madson, and even Game 4 starter Chris Young are all pretty shot after that, even if a couple of them will be available tonight. Even Davis, who should be good for tonight, still had to go over 20 pitches for his inning of work.
Given that fact, and given that the matchup is deGrom vs. Cueto, I like the Mets' chances in Game 2. Key factors: did getting the extra time off allow deGrom to get his command back under control after a couple of games where he looked tired despite being effective? And which Johnny Cueto is going to show up tonight, the guy who dominated Houston in Game 5, or the guy who got shelled by Toronto? If Cueto isn't really sharp, I think the Mets tie the series up.

We're splitting tonight. deGrom on the mound and Cueto has been VERY inconsistent lately.

And if you are wondering why the Royals are so hated, it's because they are a team that likes to run their mouth and lead the league in bench clearing brawls. As opposed to the team that showboats incessantly which invariably leads to altercations with opposing teams. Pot, meet kettle.

It's better than trying to injure people Never said my team were saints either. Now, let's just get back to this being just about the World Series. I thought that posting the mysterious substance wouldn't reignite this crap, but it did. So I am ending it here.

I don't think I've ever seen as bad sore losers as I've seen from the Blue Jays fanbase. It's embarrassing. I have a coworker who is a Jays fan. He's cool about it. It's just here that it's gotten this insanely over the top. You know, the rules of the stadium states that it was a valid HR, right? The ball was coming down above the padding and the fan's glove deflected it below it. The announcer was wrong when he said it had to go above the rail. There's no real evidence that it wouldn't have been an HR without it.
