I really dig Asuka vs Cameron and whilst Asuka is the main reason for it, think Cameron deserves some of the credit as it takes two to tango
I was wondering why they were doing Bull vs Dawkins tell the commentators started talking about dissention. When Fulton was leaving, in my head I heard Wonka saying "Stop, no, come back". I don't think anyone will be crying when they split. Maybe it'll be like Jordan and Dillenger where they are better apart
If the NXT crowd was as smart as they think they are they'd sit in absolute silence during an Eva Marie match. You know the WWE thinks any reaction is a good reaction, especially now she's acting heelish. I just tune out completely when she's on
Balor vs Crews was good but think it'd have been amazing on PPV without pacing for ad breaks
I loved the commentators asking why Corbin interrupted. I mean yes, why would the man who was last eliminated by Crews and denied the title shot come and ruin Crews chance

So I just watched the opening match, and I have to agree that Asuka reversing a slap to the face into a flipping cross arm breaker is the most insanely awesome thing I've ever seen.
I still don't like Asuka's finisher though. Why promote her as a striker but give her a submission finisher? At the very least come up with a better name the "The Asuka Lock". I'm thinking "The Full Backlund".

I don't know how anyone can look at Eva and think she has a future as a wrestler. The woman just doesn't have the athleticism required to be passable, let alone good. Considering she was completely upstaged by Cameron, who herself needs quite a bit of work, further exposes that she just doesn't have it to be in the ring. Put her somewhere else. Make her an announcer, a backstage interviewer, anything else that keeps her away from the wrestling side of things. Getting heat itself should not be used alone as a measuring stick for a push. "She keeps getting better and better every week!" -Every NXT announcer I'm not going to say Eva will never "get it" but as of now she's nowhere close to deserving of being on NXT tv. Hopefully she'll eventually get the long rumored title shot at Bayley, lose, and then go back to only being on Total Divas |

When Crews was sitting backstage and saw the NXT title, he should have totally been like "snatchies" and taken the belt so he can wear it out to the ring for the PSYCHOLOGICAL advantage.
At least, that's what I would have done.

I loved Joe turning on Balor. As soon as Corbin is gone and he looks at Finn, you can see the wheels turning in his head.
God damn it, Corbin attacked just attacked my best friend.
God damn it, now Corbin is gonna get the next title shot.
God damn it, I wanted the next title shot.
God damn it, *I* should have been the one to attack my best friend.
And then he just does it, not even to hurt Finn anymore since he's already out, he just does it out of pure frustration.
These are the moments I watch wrestling for.

At least, that's what I would have done. Someone should have done that. Decent, not great show, but they can't all be winners. I love Baron Corbin now. There, I said it. Props once again to the guy last week who spoilered Joe's heel turn in the thread, because that would've been fun to watch! Has Crew got a character yet other than smiling grateful guy? Him and Balor in the same ring is like watching someone decide between white and magnolia paint for the wall of a room that no-one goes into. |

So that Eva Marie fan in the audience... Was it the one that had the sign that said she's "Evamazing" (god, what a stretch) that they showed for a few seconds at the end of the match? Or was there someone else that I missed? I barely paid attention to the match, only looking to see the offense that Marley got in. She's pretty good so far. Lightyears ahead of her opponent, at least. |
