There is so much habitual behavior that I find pretty annoying, but the one thing that will make me go from zero to Hulk Smash, is 9/11 conspiracy garbage.
It seems to have died down quite a bit over the last couple of years, but every so often...*sigh*

When you direct somebody to Snopes, to disprove their bullshit, and they come back with, "Hey, I don't need that, I'm just trying to warn people of (insert bullshit)"

Anything political or religious, basically. In a way, me too. I don't mind if one shares their beliefs, but to be militant about it is too much.

My single favorite thing about Facebook is it's ability to take people you know and like and make that no longer the case based on how they conduct themself on the Internet.
I don't think people necessarily have any level of self-awareness of what their posting makes them look like other people. They essentially become the five year old hopping around like a jackass at the adult party because no one is paying attention to them.
As much as I enjoy the Internet, they could kill it Tomorrow and I would be fine. I'm just not sure how many could truly say that anymore. What, are they gonna hop in their car and go door to door with their photo albums? Send everyone a weekly update newsletter in the mail? Buy ad space in the newspaper so you know they're dating somebody new?
It's ludicrous how self-involved we seem to have become as a whole. You can't help but miss the good old days when no one knew what anyone else was doing and they didn't care.

I've got a friend who's so militant she annoys people on her own side and drives them away, half the time I want to block her messages when I pretty much always agree with her viewpoint. If you get to that state, what's even the point?

Selfies
It's egomaniacal enough to take numerous photos of yourself, and even moreso to think others want to see them.

It seems to have died down quite a bit over the last couple of years, but every so often...*sigh* Oh it's still out there in abundance, even if people aren't actively sharing it on their own feeds. I see it every other day on the 'I f***ing Love Science' page. When you direct somebody to Snopes, to disprove their bullshit, and they come back with, "Hey, I don't need that, I'm just trying to warn people of (insert bullshit)" "Snopes is biased liberal agenda bullshit" tends to get thrown around in response. It gets maddening. JPEGs with text in it. You can use text on facebook stop making it bigger and in my face, I might just start putting all my status's in JPEG so everyone has to pay more attention to me. Add to that videos with a text box along the top. Double douchebag points when the exact same text is in the description box.

Selfies It's egomaniacal enough to take numerous photos of yourself, and even moreso to think others want to see them. In all fairness, I'm not all FB, but my parents routinely ask me to send them pictures of me and my GF (we live a half country away from them). I know its different than what you're talking about, but I'd imagine there's a fair number of people who take it with the intent of family actually seeing it as in a "hi grandma!" kind of way. Personally I think the bigger issue with selfies is they're boring and people have no sense of how to light, frame or compose a decent picture, let alone a selfie.

Vague, "poetic", inspirational quotes. That are seemingly supposed to be deep when put in front of a picture of a waterfall, sky or forest. My niece had one of a tropical beach headlined "Today's inspirational quote". Underneath the blue water "Don't be a dick." Inspired me!

Surveys that compare you to your friends, and come up with things like, "Your prison lover is ________".

I don't have these problems, because I'm very heavy handed with the "unfollow" option. Same here, it's win-win in that you don't have to see some of this stuff, but also avoid the weird drama that can come with unfriending someone.

I've seen more than one case of a Facebook commentator posting on an obviously satirical news article thinking it's fact and starting a twisted, racist argument. The worse kind of people.
The article I saw last night was one that claimed Donald Trump wore a wig to hide his swastika tattoo. Obviously a joke, right? Apparently not.

Selfies It's egomaniacal enough to take numerous photos of yourself, and even moreso to think others want to see them. I don't do selfies much but take alot of photos since my family literally live on the other side of the world and they like to see where i've been and what I've done.

When I say "selfie" I mean those pictures of a person standing with their phone in front of a mirror, not pictures of oneself doing actual things to keep family and friends up to date on your life activities.

If I see one more post about a kid with a burned face wanting christmas cards, look I hope she gets christmas cards but I don't need to see that multiple times. I feel like most of the time its from people pretending they are good people just because they are sharing it on their facebook.

I feel like most of the time its from people pretending they are good people just because they are sharing it on their facebook. This is a fine point. Good people are out doing good things. They're not mindlessly chaining Facebook posts. Look at me, I'm concerned. Are you? Have you thought about that dribble even once after the comments/likes dried up? It's a waste of everyone's time.

Selfies It's egomaniacal enough to take numerous photos of yourself, and even moreso to think others want to see them. Selfies in general don't bug me, so much as the people who post like, 3 or 4 or more a week. My faves are "I cleaned out my friends list, congrats, you made the cut." It is possible to delete friends without being an attention whore about it

The one going around accusing a girl of being a "crisis actor" because dipshits think every brunette that escaped a school shooting must be the same woman EDIT: F-words quoted at points in this video This one bugs the hell out of me. They act like there's only one white brunette with this haircut in the entire country lol
