I just thought about it today, but My dad always used yahoo for a homepage on his comp after we got off of America Online, and I still use it to this day, kind of out of force of habit and It does offer a quick look at the news.
What I have kind of noticed is it has a lot of paid ads and clickbait and is a lot like the crap we complain about seeing on FB.

I got another one "I'm a 4th grade teacher who wants to teach the kids how fast this gets shared. So share with your location." It seems like like lately every teacher in the country happens to be doing this.

The grasping for sympathy post "I never get to do anything fun!", followed by 37 pictures of them at a Bruno Mars concert, the casino, or at one of the fairs getting shitfaced drunk in a beer garden.
