Xavier Woods is getting (or has?) a PHD. Do you have a PHD?
I'll trust Xavier on Jericho's Local status more than any of you.
Also, Jericho sucks. So, his localness is all too likely.

I stand by my theory that he's deliberately trying to become a local man and get fans to turn against his face shtick.
However that's vaguely interesting as there's some intrigue there. Is that what he's doing? Will it work? What stupid clothing will he wear next week?
As a result he can't be a true local man as they don't do anything that's even the slightest bit interesting.

I am at least still entertained by Jericho. Kane and Big Show are boring though so no I don't think Jericho is a local man.

I voted yes because he's pretty much overstaying his welcome. In my opinion his past few returns have been meaningless.
I fear that he could become Mick Foley in late 2006 after the Flair feud, where Mick barely got a reaction from the fans. There was even a taboo Tuesday match where the fans chose the guest referee, the choices were Austin, JBL, and Foley. Even JBL beat Foley in the polo it was really sad, and this happened even after Foley turned face again. Mick even did a comedy spot once with the Phoenix Suns' gorilla and didn't even got a reaction.
Being a local man is not just a joke, I believe that once you achieve that status, it can ruin your standing with the company and lower your spot in the card.

I still think Bossman should be inducted into the local man Hall of Shame. As fondly as we look back on him now, he was absolutely groan inducing during the Attitude Era.

No.
Kane and Big Show are the local men.
That's it.

FAN MEMES MUST NEVER BE CHANGED!!!
Yes. Jericho is ruining things on the regular now. But it's our fault as fans, not his overstaying his welcome. That's what he'd say.

He needs to embrace just how lame and dated he is and work that into a heel-who-thinks-he's-a-face character.

No. Kane and Big Show are the local men. That's it. Same. Check the sig. Does he dress like a douchebag? On occasion. Does he try to work the fans way to often? Certainly. But he can still go in the ring, and that alone puts him head and shoulders above Kane, Big Show, the Bossman, and everybody else considered "local".

Local, not local. Doesn't matter, he's one of the worst parts of the show.

Beyond Local. He was Local 5 years ago, now he's, well, he's Jericho. He is a category above and beyond Kane and Show. I'd take the entire main event of Mania being their RR 2015 run over a single appearance from Jericho.

I was such a Jericho mark so badly got his first two books. The first one and his DVD autographed. But since post 2012 Rumble the dude has been going downhill.

he's one of my all-time favorites so it hurts to say but... yeah, he is a bit of a Local Man these days. Yep. While I have respect for both Big Show and Kane's longevity and genuinely like them when I've read or seen them outside of the ring, I cannot say I've ever been much of a fan of either. I've also developed loathing for both at times, but this is almost entirely down to overexposure or being put into places on the card when I don't want to see them there. Jericho is a different beast. He was one of my favorites in WCW and that became even more pronounced when he jumped ship and he was in my "Top 5" virtually his entire first run. I was beyond excited for his first return and again when he came back as SRS Jericho. Since then, he's been almost insufferable. I don't know what has changed, but I couldn't care any less about him than I do now. He's got a disingenuous quality to him that feels more used car salesman than anything. Perhaps it's because subconsciously (or consciously) I know that he's not going to do ANYTHING of merit or do anything in the long haul in wrestling again. Perhaps its his awful 3rd book which was full of some decent stories but felt as nothing more than shills for his two books. Perhaps its the game show vibe he gives off in virtually anything outside of the ring he gets involved with (he was ridiculously bad hosting Tough Enough). Perhaps its his clear severe lack of self-awareness and conceit that seeps through almost anything he says. I would say right now Jericho is in my bottom five. I just don't care about him anymore. I will say that I think he deserves his success and I can still watch his old material and be entertained, but present day Jericho is f***ing atrocious. I wouldn't be sad whatsoever if he disappeared for 5 years and then came back for his HOF induction as maybe by then some of this bad taste will have subsided. Its easily the largest drop in terms of likeability I've had for anyone in this business EVER.

I'll be damned if Chris Jericho becomes a local man before Jerry Lawler.

I don't know if he ruins everything like Kane and Big Show, but he doesn't really add anything anymore. It's tough to fully gauge.

There's no way Jericho can be considered the same as Kane and Big Show, who have been around consistently since the dawn of time.
