I wanted Sting to win. But seeing as how he got the upper hand every step of the way leading to Mania, I had a bad feeling he was going to lose.

Shit, and that's HHH's BUDDY talking. Yeah, but Hall's always spoken highly of Sting as well.

Either Sting should have won or he should have faced someone else where he could have won. Otherwise, what was the point of bringing him in other than to pad HHH's resume as the Killer of WCW? If Sting was going to job, just do Sting/Taker and move on. Just a really stupid result in what amounted to a pointless match.

Win or lose, it was just dumb that the nWo was on Sting's side.

Thinking about it, it's pretty weird.
I made 2 threads today. In one Triple H is an angel but in the other he's the devil.

Have we ever gotten Sting's reasoning for being willing to take the fall in his WWE debut match? I'm assuming that he wasn't too fussed about it because the money was good.

"YA SEE, JACK, THE STINGER, MAN WAS ALWAYS TOO NICE. IF I WAS HIM, DUDE, I WOULD HAVE SAID: LISTEN VICIOUS VINCE, IS HUNTER REPAYING ME IN KIND? THAT'S HOW YOU DO BUSINESS. I WOULD HAVE SLAMMED HHH THROUGH THE RING, BROTHER, RIGHT THROUGH THE SAN ANDRES FAULT!! CALIFORNIA WOULD HAVE BROKE OFF THE USA, MAN, AND WHILE STEPH WOULD HAVE TEARS AFTER I KILLED HER HUSBAND, I WOULD TELL HER, DUDE, 'JUMP ON THE LARGEST BACK IN THE WORLD, AND I'LL SWIM YA TO SAFETY!!!!' SO WATCHA GONNA DO, WHEN HULKAMANIA DESTROYS YOU?!"

So Huntor The Burbarian could stroke his ego in his attempt to convince himself and everyone he's bigger than he really was. All this resulted in wasting everyone's time and utterly meaningless and now we're about to have it again it looks like.

Honestly, he probably didn't care. He never seemed to have a problem jobbing to people in recent years. Though it is very much the Hall and Hogan thing to talk about winning being in your contract
