The Rock burying everybody under his pile of cocaine. Always good to see him.

Believe it or not, they do. The guy is up doing weights/working out early every day, before then going on to work on whatever other project he is on at the time. He leaves the bare minimum time to be idle, a common trait among many of the world's most successful people. You don't become the Rock by sleeping 12 hours and sitting your ass on the sofa for the other half of it. The guy is just incredibly driven and motivated to achieve his goals. I'm not saying the Rock's on anything - I think the whole "coke high" thing was just a hyperbolic joke about his energy, but another common trait amongst many of the world's most successful athletes and entertainers is drug use. So I don't think the Rock was on anything other than normal Dwayne Johnson goofiness, but that argument you're making falls out pretty quick. What argument? That he's incredibly motivated, and probably one the most hard working MF around? I don't see how that falls out at all

Just for the record, I don't think he was on anything, but if he were it wouldn't be totally unprecedented for someone at his level of fame and output. Many, many creatives who have worked non stop in pretty much any avenue have admitted to drug use to help them remain productive. Again, not saying that its the Rock's situation. He was just marking out, like most of us do when we get to a live event. Not to mention being apart of it. Accusations of him taking drugs such as cocaine are incredibly stupid, imo. Look at the guys instagram even once and you can see how much natural drive/energy he has every day.

Dwayne Johnson > The Rock. I'm completely burned out on the character of The Rock. I prefer him in "Ballers" and in multiple movie roles. I understand that he's very "over" with the crowd, but I personally didn't care for the segment (outside of the Big Show stuff).
Isn't it funny that before his 2011 return when Dwayne Johnson was making a bunch of mediocre movies (like Tooth Fairy) fans were begging the Rock to return to wrestling. Now, five years later and things have totally flipped, with Dwayne Johnson appearing in much more successful movies, while The Rock seems like a relic from the past trying to recreate the "Attitude Era".

Eh, I've seen him like this before. The SmackDown in Atlantic City many years ago was goofy. Usually when there's celebrities (in my example, Busta Rhymes was there), he's a big silly kid having a good time. That's the one where he remarks on candy-striper Kurt Angle's singlet having an A on it, and ask what it stands for.

He seemed in a good mood. Maybe because he didn't have to get Roman Reigns over.

I love the Rock, always will, but I've become far more of a fan of the dude outside of wrestling at this point. Having now watched the thing from last night, the segment is pretty indicative as to why. When he's in Rock character now, it's paint by numbers of how he's going to act, what he's going to say. You may not know the exact silly phrasing, but you can pinpoint exactly when it's coming, how it's going to go. I felt the same during Austin's whole sheriff deal etc. Rock's just doing 'Greatest Hits' when he appears at this point. And before anyone says anything: Obviously the majority loves it, and is entertained by that and etc. I'm not arguing that, and it'd be foolish to to otherwise. I'm merely saying for me, I don't need to see Rock in wrestling playing that character any more. I'm still a HUGE fan of the guy, and always likely will be. But he's moved on to bigger and better things, and the things he's doing when he comes back I saw and loved fifteen years ago. I don't really need to see him doing that character again. I don't mind it when The Rock is in "greatest hits" mode when we see him twice a year because that's a small enough sample to enjoy his bits and not be too put off by the fact that he's got the same material and cadence that he had 15 years ago. I minded it back in early 2012 and 2013 when he was feuding with John Cena or CM Punk and was a frequently occurring character and defending WWE Champion. When you see him twice a month as opposed to twice a year, you realize just how grating and annoying he can be if he doesn't freshen up his material. He's still enormously popular and can have the fans eating out of the palm of his hand regardless of what he says (name me one other wrestler today who could get a crowd of 15,000 people to chant "llama penis") and his one-off appearances are largely harmless and leave no long-term harm or goodwill on an individual superstar, it's those rare times when you see him a little more frequently when you think, "Aw c'mon Rock, let's not play the hits tonight. Let's try something new." If I saw The Rolling Stones in concert once a year, I wouldn't care if they farted out "Satisfaction" or "Brown Sugar". But if I were seeing The Rolling Stones in concert three times a month, at some point I'd think, "OK guys, time to play some of the deeper cuts for a change."

I get that, like I said, just my personal view.
I will say the Big Show interaction was good.

I liked the segment except for the Rusev bit. I know Rock ripping on everyone and more or less getting away with it is his thing, and I know he probably doesn't want to take bumps in real-life, but it made no sense for Rusev to not even try to kick his ass IMO. A dude who you've brawled with before just insinuated that he banged your fiance. True or not, them's fighting words, and Rusev was right there! I guess you could justify it in that Rusev and Lana both had other partners before their "reunion" but....I dunno. Just didn't care for that lack of testicular fortitude.
The New Day part of the segment was every bit as great as I knew it'd be. The over the top "WHAAAAAAT?!" reply to one of his usual Rockisms made it all the funnier.

If he is get that man another kilo. But seriously say what you want about him but his charisma and delivery is unlike anything I've ever seen. I don't even care what he says anymore, he is that good.

Him insulting Big Show made me really wish he would do one more heel run. Dammit, I think he'd be amazing at it, and would easily be able to put over a young star. If he was to do it, now would be the time. Roman makes it out of =FastLane the number one contender. The Authority immediately starts trying to beat Roman out of the main event. Ambrose Rock and Usos even up the odds on the Road to Wrestlemania. Rock turns on Roman and costs him the match. The next night, he cuts a promo that Roman just ain't ready to beat a legend, a first ballot hall of gamer like The Game. He would only dishonor the legacy of the family. Roman feuds with Rock. Ambrose chases the title. The Usos tangle with the League of Nations. They all blow off at Summer Slam. I like your thinking but if Roman isn't over as a good guy now, no way will the crowd be behind him in a feud with the Rock!
