What is the point of using fake blood during the justified thrashing of Roman Reigns on RAW? They want to keep blood off the screen, yet they don't tell viewers the blood is fake!?!
Is the point not to "shock" the current pussy PC society with blood on the screen, be it fake or not? So why not be authentic and respect the business and its history, by blading authentically?
Roman Reigns is not a real wrestler nor he ever will be in my book as long as he is a blading virgin.
Look at all the best matches in history, real blood was used to draw the raw emotion into the match. Fake blood does not do that.

Because hepatitis, as well as other bloodborne diseases, infections, and scarring are quite real.

Why not?
It's safer, most people won't know the difference and it protects the wrestlers and their health. It's like asking "why not use real punches in a match?" honestly.

Blading is done to get blood from the forehead. The angle was HHH "breaking" Reigns's nose.

Respect doesn't mean shit when your health is shot for the long term. If it means better quality of life, then I will not complain about fake blood being used. Too many diseases, and that's too big a risk.

You don't really get a whole lot from blading anyway since they always censor the footage afterwards. I'm sure they'll do that with the HHH/Reigns segment as well, but at least Roman didn't have to actually shatter his face to accomplish it.

I remember when I was in high school and my buddies and I made a pledge to lose our blading virginity by prom.

Because it's 20-freaking-16 and performers shouldn't have to cut themselves open and spill their own blood to add realism to a TV show that features a zombie, a magical redneck family, and a leprechaun.

Rather fake blood than no blood.
Looked pretty gruesome when Triple H kept punching at it and it got more thicker looking. I liked it.

Lot healthier than the alternative and you can more easily make it look a lot more theatrical which is what the segment was going for.

I gotta say the D-Von Dudley replica head/coin holder would be a bestseller.

Roman Reigns is not a real wrestler nor he ever will be in my book as long as he is a blading virgin. Oh and another thing. HHH vs. Daniel Bryan at Mania XXX. Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels at WM 25. CM Punk vs. John Cena on Raw in 2013. All of those, some of the absolute best matches in WWE in the past 10 years or so and not a single one of them have any real blood.

OK example here: Punk was an infamous ladies man prior to dating AJ. He's almost certainly not the only one. What if someone like that caught HIV from a girl at a club, then bladed in a match the next week? How long is it before a hospital or wellness check catches it, and how many people did he bleed on before he went to the doctor? Especially when your doctor thinks MRSA is a calcium deposit, gives you meds that literally put you in the drizzling shits for months, and then sends you back out there. Accidental or deliberate hardways sending a chain of a blood borne disease through half the roster and their girlfriends? WWE health checks aren't exactly like porn stars where they get tested fo EVERYTHING every 4 weeks Or they just use fake blood and don't have a completely unnecessary risk
