Now, I'm not picking any sides but... The way you guys are jumping on and responding someone whose viewpoint doesn't fit with the general hivemind here just comes off so pretentious. And the OP didn't come off a bit insane in their ramble about how Roman Reigns is a Blood Virgin? And that Real Blood means respect and that you will get more over in wrestling? And without cutting yourself for blood, you can't ever be a respectable wrestler and draw emotions from the fans? Despite all the health risks that come with it?

Anyone who remembers the visual of Brock Lesnar smearing the actual blood of the legendary Hulk Hogan on his chest AND understood the deep meaning of it should fully understand the power that human blood can have on the emotions of people. If I were an admin I would have locked and blocked you by now but it's not my choice. The consensus is, Blood can add to the emotion of a match or moment, real or fake, no matter the situation. if it looks good, it looks good, if it's better for the health and well being of the wrestlers, then that is what it is.
Stop with the stupid respect and DIS BUSINESS and TRUE EMOTION OF BLOOD VIRGINITY because it's fallen on deaf ears as it should...
Disagree with the dude all ya want but this crosses some lines. I'm not cosigning any opinions the OP has expressed but let's be better than calling anyone out over listed gender, claiming any one side is right simply because it's the majority, and also let's let the staff here worry about the actual moderation without any of this "if I was in charge" stuff. Just bad form all around. You have a problem, use the report feature, PM staff, or go to the Ask a Mod thread. Argue the post, not the poster. |

Because you're assuming you're older than Chazraps for one just for your WRESTLING KNOWLEDGE, and the fact you cant seem to take anyone elses opinions or thoughts on the matter seriously and just keep obsessively listing your own because of your apparent real blood fetish

Where did I say I don't take others opinions seriously? I never said that. Omit said that to Charazard after he lashed out at me for giving my take on blood and claiming my account is a fake one that needed to be "blocked". Blocked for what, because I enjoy blood in wrestling and I created a thread about it? This is a discussion board, correct? You call Me "ridiculous" simply because I presented a thread regarding blood in a sport that has a very long history and lineage regarding the usage of blood and I asked why they showed red blood on live TV when it was banned for so long. It was and is my hope that Vince finally realizes that moving away from the traditions of the business has hurt his business. I enjoy when the blood is real, when Jim Ross used to call the matches with heavy blood in them. I could "feel" those matches as real blood that was pumping out of a performer that was literally giving his life force to entertain me. Using fake blood does not give that same Feeling to me |

The Dude/Dudette thing was simply me covering a base because I was ready to call them dude in the message and I could have been wrong
It doesn't really matter to me if its real or fake blood, but it was annoying me that real blood HAD to be the answer from OP, like they were ignoring any points made about Fake Blood being a benefit over emotional scale and that bothered me and made me clearly say some things I regret.
I wasn't trying to come off pompous, I just felt like the whole thread was getting out of hand, I did think better of it after it was posted because I am in fact not in charge and it's not my decision of course and the last thing I want to do is get any admins mad at myself for a frustration of another because I respect this place and only try to better it, not cause trouble myself.
So apologies all around if this was bad form, this Thread just kind of felt overblown and I guess it brought a bit of a bad side out of me. It happens eh?

Your original post felt very rambly and used some out there terms and made you yourself come off ridiculous and overall your thoughts and tone got lost in the shuffle
If you feel this way, fine, but I feel like there are many benefits for using fake blood, especially on TV, less blading if that's even still a thing, less scarring, less chance of medical problems, but to me still getting the point across. Again I couldn't tell it was fake. If I can't tell, I don't have a problem. It was used to convey the emotion of an end segment, not in a 20 minute match where it would probably be way easier to tell that the dude isn't cut.
That being said, however they use it is up to them, maybe this was their test for it, maybe they'll switch back and forth. To me it was a bit of an overreaction from you but I can see where you're sort of coming from
But this was one instance, who knows if it will continue, that's something to keep in mind. |

Honestly I don't care for fake blood and as much as I enjoyed guys bleed back than, I can understand why they don't want there performers to bleeding on each no more. But if a guy gets busted the hard way, I do wish the medical staff doesn't run in to stop the bleeding delaying the match unless it's a serious cut or the performer wasn't tested for hepatitis like the day before.
