So after a day and a half I can finally give my review.
Even after all that time to let it soak in, my opinion on it is the same. I still find it lackluster. The first episode was boring because it was nothing but build. Then the climax in the second episode felt like it was rushed. The interaction between Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst should have been given a bit more time since it was their first meeting in a long time, instead of the whole, "oh you brainwashed an entire town into promoting your idealistic vision of equality? Ok then." And don't even get me started on questioning why they never kept in touch after their separation. Then of course the mane 6 minus Twilight were pretty much just filler, with the townsfolk not even bothering with the evacuation order until Shining Armor finally gives the order.
There were a few things I did enjoy though. Princess Cadance and Shining Armor going through the "joys" of parenthood was a nice thing to see. I had no problems with Flurry Heart getting all out of control. She's a baby, and babies don't know a damn thing. Sunburst does look like an intriguing character with his talents and abilities. I wouldn't mind a return for him in the future. And Spike not letting the whole hero thing get to his head again was good to see.
One thing that occurred to me, if the Crystal Heart was needed to protect the city from the snow storms, why can't they just move to somewhere that doesn't snow so bad? I guess that's a topic for another conversation.
All in all, this is definitely me least favorite premiere of the entire series.

So, nopony's talking about the big elephant in the room from yesterday's episode? I heard that Princess Celestia said in a round-about way that alicorns are not reproduced naturally, thereby insinuating that all the alicorns we have seen on the show so far are "artificially" made. It surprised me. Especially when Twilight was like, "A baby alicorn?! That's never happened before!" And I was like, "Wait, what?!!! But what about Tia and Luna? They're not born alicorns? Then how did they get immortality?! Last time I checked, there were no Dragon Balls on Equestria." |

"Filli Vanilli": An enjoyable little episode. Loved the Ponytones, the return of Flutterguy and the featured. It also varied the theme of Fluttershy having to overcome a fear enough for it to feel new with the end doing the right thing of her taking baby steps to get to her goal someday. However, this episode featured the most annoying Pinkie Pie characterization to date, making her into Patrick Star almost. Also was the one where Pinkie took a deep drop in my personal favorite characters. B-. The TLML Adventures Part 53After hearing from Lyra that there was an animal fundraiser in Ponyville, Twinkleshine, being the animal lover that she is, could not help herself and volunteered to help. Lemon Hearts and Minuette accompanied her mostly because they heard the Ponytones were performing, having loved them ever since they performed at Lyra's birthday bash last year. But first, preparations had to be made...  Finally, the big day arrived with the Ponytones giving another magnificent concert which inspired even Lemon Hearts to get a pet for herself...     After the fundraiser, they spent some time for Lemon Hearts to get to know her new pet cat in Ponyville before returning to Canterlot, even catching another Ponytones performance on the way...   After Lemon Hearts's cat got used to her, the friends returned to Canterlot to resume their businesses. |
