He had nothing to do with the play. Doesn't matter. He was in an offside position. If a player is in an offside position but not involved with the play, it's not offside. And judging from the replays, he wasn't offside either.

Quick question for an unknowing American: How many post-season tournaments does UEFA has? There's the FA Cup, Euro Cup and the Champions league. How much damn soccer those poor guys go through?!

Two of those three aren't post-season, except sometimes for the finals happening after the leagues finish. And if by Euro Cup you mean the Europa League then that's the same as the other two. The European Championship is the only UEFA tournament that happens after (most) European seasons end and that's every four years.

Of those, only the Euro is post-season. The FA Cup, as any national cup, and both the Champion's League and the Europa League run throughout the season.
As for actual post-season tournaments... those are the national team ones, so in UEFA case, the Euro. But then you put FIFA into the picture and you can add the World Cup and the Confederations Cup. And then there's the Olympics. All of those happen once every 4 years though, so it's not like they go all year round year after year.

The FA Cup is an English domestic tournament organised by the English FA (Football Association) during the season and contested by all clubs in the English league system, and the Champions League is a continental tournament run by UEFA (Union of European Football Associations), also run during the season and contested by the champions and a differing number of runners-up of each qualifying European league. In terms of post-season tournaments, contested by international teams, there's the European Cup, run once every four years, with the qualifying games taking place over the two years prior. European teams also compete in the Confederations Cup, which also takes place every four years and is contested by the winners of the European Cup and the winners of the equivalent competitions from the five other continental competitions as well as the host country and the world champions. There are also the age-specific tournaments for Under-21s and youth levels.

As far as how much these guys play, that's not even including friendlies and pre-season tournaments such as the Emirates cup and the International Champions Cup. It's a year-round sport with a few small breaks but, nothing like the off-seasons of American sports.

Equally, the schedule during the season isn't as punishing as those in American sports, particularly baseball.

Then again, baseball doesn't land itself to a lot of physical activity for most players, unlike most other sports which have people running around back and forth for over an hour. But that's kinda the beauty of it.

That and the fact that you're going to be up for a few hours during each game without doing much (especially true for an outfielder) or you're going to be squatting for a few hours 4 out of 5 days (catcher) which does catch up o anyone sooner than they might realize.
Getting back on topic: so, is Portugal gonna get revenge on France for Euros 84 and 2000 or against Germany for every time we've faced them excluding Euro 2000?

Whoever wins this game, be it Germany or France. I want the,not completely annihilate Portugal in the final who in my opinion don't deserve to be there.

I'd make Germany favourites and France second favourites. A couple of good performances from Nani aside, Portugal haven't shown anything that should worry either side.

We really need to stop playing defence, especially when the defence is so bad. We would have already scored if the attackers ever got ANY amount of support. You'd think they would have learned that from their match against Island.

I remember all the banter I got from United fans that they took our "Gott." Problem is, guys, he hasn't been the "Gott" in a few years. He's been good, but not Gott. Injuries didn't help, either.

Phew! Some breathing room! They certainly upped their game from the first period.

Portugal don't deserve to win this.
