Sverige... poor performance. Only Olsson put in a good shift, and I don't think we have much of a chance against teams like Belgium and Italy. The forwards were impotent and much of the passing was aimless, it is no good dominating possession if you are not creating chances. Unlucky for Ireland, I must say, they worked very hard and I think deserved the 3 points more.
A superb defensive performance by Italy, they look like a good shout to win the group and go far in the competition after this. Bonucci and Chiellini were outstanding. Belgium were no good, lots of talented individuals in the team but they are just individuals. As a unit they were outclassed tactically, we'll see if they fare better against Ireland.

Italy is laughing at everyone, myself included, that predicted doom for them.

Also, Lukaku and Origi were f***** terrible. Not a good showing for the two Merseyside Belgians.

Russia has been fined and given a suspended disqualification for the fan-induced violence.

If it wouldn't cause such a hassle at this stage I'd suggest the World Cup be taken away from them. As it stands this doesn't bode well for 2018.

Looks like we've had our first 'upset' of the tournament. Hungary beating Austria by two goals to nil.

Nice to see that Pepe only took one game of the tournament to act like a detestable c***. Ronaldo acted like a Spoilt child at the final whistle tonight, sarcastically clapping the officials.

That's three times now in this tournament that a team of individual egos have been shown up by teams who actually play like a team. Belgium, Austria, and Portugal all need to stop trying to show each other up or they could be out early.

Ronaldo is a shitberg. Whining and complaining about Iceland using defensive tactics.
Has he forgotten about Greece doing the same thing, playing to their strengths and beating Portugal twice on their own turf en route to winning the tournament in 2004?

Marek Hamšik with a screamer at the end of the first half to give Slovakia a 2-0 lead at half time.
EDIT: The players from Iceland getting back at Ronaldo, saying that comments like the ones he gave after their match makes him the number two to Messi.

Albania tonight. Hope our boys capitalize on their momentum and show more initiative than against Romania.

Staring at Slaven Bilic's hair during the ITV coverage has made me realise he looks like a real life older version of Niko Bellic.
