On that same token, I don't think anyone dislikes Ken I don't think anyone flat-out dislikes him, but Ken's method of testing Will was one of the stupidest things I've ever seen anyone do. Yeah but if Michelle can beat an Aubry, I think Ken could beat Hannah/Adam/Brett in the finals

It's a weird gamble you hafta make late in the game.
The trouble with taking along a presumed patsy like Sunday is that if she were deemed likeable enough by the jury, then that could outweigh everything else.
Now, I think Michele was a more worthy winner than Sunday would have been. Still, I don't think her game was as good as Aubry's, but Michele didn't really rock the boat or piss anybody off and that was enough to win.
So if you're David or Adam, guys who have shafted other players at one turn or another, you need to be careful about guys like Ken and Bret, who might prove to be better liked among the jury members.
If you want to talk about pure game play, I think the most deserving winner at this point might be Jay.

It's the Big Move Gameplay that makes great seasons, tho. Hannah just convinced Adam to release David from his triggerhairs, BC she wanted to save an ally. That's something to brag about at Final Tribal. Adam convinced Jay to use his idol bc he decided to reveal a secret about his real life to force a personal connection. Scummy move perhaps, but ELITE gameplay indubitably. David has somehow been dodging bullets since the very first tribal this season when he was a huge target for his paranoia (hunting for an idol within minutes). He's played the hardest aside from Jay since the beginning, and is the only guy who correctly used his (first) hidden idol this season. He might win automatically unless the jury is biased for Jay (Tayls and Michelle might poison the Ponderosa) Jay joins David and Adam for the trifecta of wasting an immunity idol. Really curious why nobody has been looking for new idols since one's been burned for the past 3 episodes. Jay is almost a lock for individual immunity till the end unless Adam bitches him over again with Ken. Ken doesn't win against David or Jay, his only shot is taking Brett and Hannah to the end, then he has more friends on the jury than the other two. Hannah's move might make her into the F3 but like Ken she needs Brett alongside her and Ken or Adam. She can't beat Jay or David and I get why she targeted Sunday but David might have screwed her game up since she's trying to get to the end along with him, rather than with-or-without. Adam made himself enemies when he helped out Ken in the challenge so if she goes with Adam and Brett I think she has the $1M. Brett has no shot. He flops like the wind and all of his attempts to maintain any real alliance evaporated with Sunday's exit. I don't think Adam got Jay to use his idol because of revealing the stuff about his mother. That's a really weird way to take that. I think Jay knew he was on the chopping block any time he didn't win immunity, heard his name come up, and didn't want to go home wigh an idol in his pocket. He could have not used it knowing everyone assumes he would, but it would be a GIGANTIC risk at this point with his lack of connections in the group. Adam, for all his faults, IS the only guy who truly understood the last three eliminations that David is going to win this game (save for Jay making a crazy run.) Hannah is pretty much Homer Simpson with both his hands stuck in vending machines. Adam is like "He's gonna beat any of us in the end." to which Hannah replies "Your point being?" If Hannah's best move is saving someone who has unquestionably played a better and more forefront game than her, then she deserves to lose. I agree with you about Ken. But I also think he wins against Hannah and Adam.

Let's just take a minute to appreciate that roughly 75% of Will's Ponderosa video is people clowning on him.

But I also think he wins against Hannah and Adam. Not "weird" at all. Adam point blank tells Jay 'you need to use your idol tonight' then reveals a secret about his mom that gets Jay to cry. Subtly saying "I am telling the truth you really should use that idol would a guy who has a mom with cancer really lie to you?" And Adam did lie, beautifully. If nothing else comes from this mostly-male F6 I hope it all comes down to Jay David and Adam because honestly I think it would be the 3 best players ever in a 1st-time-players' season in 33 Survivor seasons. The final jury arguments would be insane and I really don't know who would/should win since all 3 guys have played their hearts out.

I still don't understand how people were shocked by Michele's win, as if she were some cipher who arrived in Cambodia just in time for Kaoh Rong's final days to magically whisk away the million dollars from Aubry's grasp. She even outright stated at one point that she was a bartender who knew how to work on social connections. Perhaps not the most popular choice, but there ya go.

I think the surprise had to do with her edit more so her gameplay and how Aubry seemed edited for the win. Michelles wasn't shown making big moves but got enough confessionals to keep her relevant similar to Ken this season. Hence why I can see the possibility of Ken winning

The final jury arguments would be insane and I really don't know who would/should win since all 3 guys have played their hearts out. I think Adam intended to manipulate Jay with the secret, but I really don't think it tipped the scales for him any. If anything, him just pestering him with "You're going home tonight. You're going home tonight." ad naseum is enough to play it. In Jay's position in the game, it would be a totally ballsy move to not play it. But it would also be completely idiotic. There's a 90% chance he plays that idol on that night regardless of what anyone says to him. I also don't think Adam would do great in a Final 3. Aside from the fact that he is more likely to get flamed than anyone left, he isn't great at thinking on his feet. The whole hiding food/advantage showdown at Tribal was him just kinda shitting himself. He's a sleazeball, but he's not a great liar nor is he good at turning things to his advantage. I think he could do a good statement, but as soon as jury members take aim at him, he'd lose momentum. He's not as good at thinking on his feet as David or Hannah or even Jay in the unlikely chance he makes it there.

So, nobody is placing any bets on Bret or Hannah to win? Even though, by the looks of it, Hannah seems to be getting a pure favorable edit lately?

Hannah could win but she'd hafta pull some seriously game-altering moves in the finale, and clearly she needs to avoid having David or Jay next to her in the F3. I would give her the money over anyone else if I were on the jury.

I can't see Hannah having a good final tribal performance either. She'll panic.

I get that the producers and editors have to craft a compelling narrative, but I think that giving the audience a fair representation of a castaway should be paramount.

I believe they've mentioned this on the Survivor Historians podcast (which I always feel compelled to mention deserves a listen if you're a fan of the show) - that in the beginning the story was that of the winner, generally. You got to know all the players and the story as it relates to why someone won (or lost). Now it's more about the surprise factor. Both can be compelling, but sometimes the pendulum swings too far in one direction over another - Michele may be one of those cases (though I liked her and was fine with her win, even if I was rooting for Aubry).

Survivor is the one show my dad and I watched together and talked about, and he's not going to get to see who won this season. So this one is going to be a bit of a bummer for me.
Pulling for Adam.

If this was one of those old Loony Toons, Jay's face would be replaced with a giant lollipop with the word "SUCKER!" on it.

Okay, bringing idols this late in the game is a little ridiculous.
