- Darth Maul in Phantom Menace. He was/is such a cool character, I would have loved to have seen more of him. - Han in Force Awakens. I get why they did it, but f*** them anyway. I still skip that scene in the movie. It still pisses me off. - Dan/Christian Bale's death in the 3:10 to Yuma remake. It was so unnecessary to have such a bummer ending. Darth Maul actually lives on in The Clone Wars animated series. And that's considered canon now too, and he is badass in it. You may have seen him along with his brother in somebody's sig here (sorry can't remember which user). And in Rebels, too. In fact, him and a certain former General have a throwdown in the making this season...

Now that's some shit I'm repressing. That movie was God awful. Wasn't there a sequel or I'm thinking all Rob Zombie movies run together Oh no that exists. Yup, Rob's hate-f*** letter to all the critics of the first Zombieween...

Edward Furlong at the end of American History X
It was so cruel, even though I have to admire the genius of SkyNet sending a T-1000 disguised as a black teenager to kill him.

On the flip side I wish they had let Tad die in Cujo like in the book.

The commando leader in the first Resident Evil movie. That character seemed like he had potential. He was collected, competent, a fearless leader, and physically badass. And...he's sliced to ribbons by the lasers almost right at the beginning. What a waste.

So the less competent people have to figure out how to survive on their own.

- Cyclops in X-Men 3. You tell a story that revolves around Jean Grey returning and becoming evil and eventually having to die and you take Scott out of said story? Are you f***ing joking? X3 should have been his moment to shine, rather than another Wolverine snoozefest. It's the actor's fault, though. He signed on for another movie. You're lucky he even showed up to die. No, it was the studios fault. They rushed x3's development out of spite. Had they stuck to the original development schedule he would have filmed all of his parts for Superman Returns and could actually be in the movie that he should have been a damned main character for.

Only death I didn't like in that was Saffron Burrows, since the movie basically follows her and sets her up as the primary protagonist, and then she gets pointlessly eaten in the climax of the film in a swerve Russo himself would've been proud of. She was the stealth antagonist, and the only character who really deserved to die by horror movie standards. Her Captain Ahab like obsession against Alzheimers led to the creation of the smart sharks and she saved one's life after it bit Stellen Skarsgard's arm off. At the time I saw the film (I was 10), I wanted her to survive because she stripped down to her underwear to electrocute that shark lol. Never thought she would be dead five minutes later. Once I watched it again, then I understood how stubborn she was and how she really caused all the shit that happened.

Edward Furlong at the end of American History X {Spoiler}
{Spoiler}{Spoiler} The original ending showed Derek going back to his old ways as a result of Danny's death. The first draft had the ending scene being Derek shaving his head in the bathroom mirror.

Curtis 'lemon head' Lemansky in The Shield. That Shane would kill him to cover his own ass, man I was gutted! Then, as if that wasn't bad enough, Shane poisons his own wife and child, then blows his own brains out to avoid capture. What a gut punch those were..... Also, like so many on this forum, special mention for John Wick's dog..... Absolutely this. Lemansky was my favorite guy on the show, and seeing Shane (my least favorite on the show) kill him like that was like an absolute gut-punch.

I remember them showing us American History X in high school and us and the teacher held our breaths when the principal came in. Luckily she came in during the only parts there's no cursing or curb stomping.
