Granted all parties involved might just be keeping everything close to the vest, but if this were happening as rumored/reported...wouldn't we have heard even a little more by now?

Listening to a PWInsider audio just a bit ago and they pointed out the guy who started the rumor is the same guy that said BFG was off and TNA had canceled all the talent travel arrangements, and the only thing they know he got right was Billy rebranding should he take over and that came from an ESPN article. So yeah, smells more and more like bullshit each passing day.

Josh Mathews: We're closing in on them in the ratings war, sir. In less than a year, the WWE will be ours. Bob Ryder: Good! Prepare to attack! Josh Mathews: Prepare to attack! Bob Ryder: On the count of 3. 1...2... [the WWE buys the TNA Library] Wait! What happened? Where are they?! Josh Mathews: I don't know, sir! They must have money or something?! Bob Ryder: And what have we got on this thing, a Cuisinart?! Josh Mathews: No, sir! Bob Ryder: Well, find them, catch them! Josh Mathews: Yes, sir! [turns on microphone] Prepare TNA for High Morale! Bob Ryder: No-no-no, High Morale is too low! Josh Mathews: High Morale is too low? Bob Ryder: Yes, we're gonna have to go right to... Ludicrous Morale! [The entire crew gasps in horror]Josh Mathews: Ludicrous Morale?! Sir, we've never gone that high before! I don't know if the company can take it! Bob Ryder: What's the matter, douchebag Josh? Chicken?Josh Mathews: [stuttering, sounding much like a chicken] Prepare TNA-- [more clearly and loudly] Prepare TNA for ludicrous morale! Fasten all seat belts, seal all entrances and exits, close all shops in the mall! Cancel the three ring circus! Secure all animals in the zoo-- Bob Ryder: Give me that, you petty excuse for an announcer! [Takes the microphone] Now hear this! Ludicrous morale--Josh Mathews: Sir, hadn't you better buckle up? Bob Ryder: Ah, buckle this! Ludicrous Morale, GO![Bob Ryder is screaming as he sees various warp trails on the monitor. Meanwhile, there are signs lighting up indicating "HIGH MORALE", "RIDICULOUS MORALE", and a flashing "LUDICROUS MORALE" sign]Bob Ryder: What have I done?! My brains are going into my fat ass! [TNA passes WWE Headquarters, leaving a trail of plaid light behind them] Ambrose: [he and AJ Styles quickly duck] WOW!! What the Hell was that?AJ Styles: TNA! Ambrose: They've gone Full-Dixie! Bob Ryder: We passed 'em! Stop this thing! Josh Mathews: We can't stop, it's too dangerous; we've got to lower the morale first! Bob Ryder: Bullshit! Just stop this thing! I order you: STO-O-O-O-P![Josh Mathews reaches out and uses the emergency brake, which has a "Never use" warning on it. Ryder goes flying forward, while screaming, into a pile of plastic Eric Young Beards.]Josh Mathews: Are you all right, sir? Bob Ryder: [slightly dazed] Fine. How have you been? Josh Mathews: Very good, sir. It's a good thing you landed in those beards. Bob Ryder: Yeah. Josh Mathews: What should we do now, sir? Bob Ryder: Well, are we stopped? Josh Mathews: We're stopped, sir. Bob Ryder: Good. Why don't we take a 5-minute break? Josh Mathews: Very good, sir. Bob Ryder: Smoke, if you got 'em. [Falls over]As if TNA have anybody even half as competent as Spaceballs working for them. Well it is ran by a bunch of Assholes.

The only thing left for TNA to do between Monday and January is edit footage and talk their way out the promised India tour. If there isn't announcement, or even a Meltzer-level rumor, by the time Raw starts, then I'm calling bullshit.

Talk about hitting the nail on the head. For all this talk about change behind the scenes and Dixie's power crumbling, it's the still the same damn TNA it has always been. You'd never be able to tell the difference if you just merely watched the shows. Same damn meaningless pay-per-views with the real important events on the next TV show. Same damn top angle that they've always done. Everything is painfully the same, which means the real problems still haven't been addressed. The really weird thing on the PPV subject is they seemed like they were starting to move past that with having a set up and fairly built Drew / Lashley title match then having it have the logical ending where Lashley won the title, along with on the same show having a couple of other title changes. Then both those new champions basically lost their belts immediately, then they seemed to iron it out with Bound for Glory with having the tag title change and after having had EC3 / Lashley build for awhile they had a decisive conclusion to it that handily wrapped up the story... and thennnn this batch of tapings happened. Well look at BFG last year. Matt Hardy wins the title and 24 hrs later he gives it back because EC3 put some clause that he couldn't appear on TV as champion because why? (real reason was they couldn't find a venue to tap shows post PPV) To only use a bunch of matches to make a tournament but only ended up giving the belt back to EC3. Worst of all Matt was in that tournament. It was pointless and at the same time made EC3 look like a dumbass when all he should have done is rematch clause.

One of the news articles mentioned that John Gaburick was very much in favour of selling to WWE because Billy would most likely get rid of him if he got full power. Also, seems like things are pointing to Bob Ryder getting the boot as well. Forgetting to renew your current Tag Team Champion aka Bobby Roode's contract. And signing Bram to a billion contracts. IIRC, it was Bruce Prichard who screwed up regarding Roode's contract. Big did have a hand in lowballing AJ out of the company, freezing out TJ Perkins, and the debacle that was Hernandez's last run, among other things. For the record, TNA put out that it was Bruch Prichard's fault, but all the post-2014 TNA alumni shoots have refuted that. Prichard was the head booker for 2012, but then was fired in November because he didn't want to move his whole family from Texas to Nashville just because Dixie wanted all of TNA centralized in the same place. When he refused to uproot their lives, he was shown the door and to avoid the spin of "TNA fired the booker for the greatest stretch they've ever had just because he wouldn't move cross-country," they circulated the story about the Bobby Roode contract, which is silly to think about as why would your head booker for the then-supposedly #2 North American company also be in charge of talent relations?

Going by memory here, but here are some more important points talked about on Wrestling Observer Radio today:
Meltzer and Alvarez have found no proof that any deal has been made, either with WWE buying TNA, Corgan buying it, or WWE buying the library and Corgan buying other parts. Everyone they talked to at TNA denied the WWE rumors, but then again of course they would. They said something like some people they talked to at WWE wanted it to happen, but no one knew that a deal had been reached.
A worthwhile observation Alvarez made is that given what WWE pays for footage, Meltzer and Alvarez previously estimated that WWE would be paying around $700,000 for the tape library which would cover the cost of the current tapings. Alvarez talked a bit then about how absurd it would be to lose 14 years of history just to cover one set of tapings.
Meltzer also made the point that TNA's tape library is by far their most valuable asset and something that Corgan would definitely want if he purchased the company even with re-branding. Meltzer also said re-branding the company won't do shit. He said it in those words too, which is kind of unlike Dave haha. He said it would help the company get away a bit from the tainted TNA image, but in terms of things that actually matter like selling tickets or getting PPV buys, it isn't going to make a difference.

Given all the logistical shit that would probably go into a deal like this, I could believe them keeping it close to the chest for a bit. Maybe they're waiting for the tapings to finish (which, considering Dixie apparently told talent that she wasn't selling the library, might be a good idea) or maybe they're waiting for Billy Corgan to get stuff in place. Who knows?

He was blamed for the Roode thing (and another screwup regarding state licenses), but from what I can find via Google it wasn't used as the reason he was booted. The official statement from TNA regarding Prichard was that he refused to take a pay cut, plus the cross-country move is alluded to in a blurb from Dixie regarding having everyone in Nashville. And I believe Gaburick was handling both for a while (think he's just the latter now), so TNA has a habit of consolidating there. Kinda stupid, really.

I just thought of something: What if Billy Corgan's rebranding for TNA is it becoming Global Force Wrestling? Double J already got everything but an actual roster and tv. So you're saying he owns a ring. Or at least knows where to rent one on the cheap.

Not fully caught up yet, but as someone who hasn't ever watched TNA, I just want to say that somebody is going to make a fortune just from writing a book about TNA's entire history. In kayfabe and out, it is just so darn hilariously convoluted.

That's the thing, most of the past is better than what they have now. It would probably be more exciting to watch other TNA eras than what they do in present time on Pop. But Corgan (or anyone buying TNA) would have no use for the library unless they could turn it into some kind of profit (ex. selling DVD's, etc). Sitting on the library and having it collect dust vs. selling to the WWE to (presumably) help wipe out the inherited debt and start from scratch seems like a no brainer. The WWE could use the content now that they have signed former TNA guys (AJ, Joe, Roode, Aries, etc). The brand is tarnished and will never be recouped. This was Corgan basically starting from scratch but having at least some type of infrastructure already in place. Though I agree that Corgan and his Russo-ific view of booking probably isn't a good thing, but I guess anything is better than Dixie. This would be only a short-term fix to sell the library. It would hurt later on when you can really use it to make a profit. It would be another brain-dead short term TNA move.

Regarding Bruce Pritchard, it was revealed that Dixie didn't really understood the concept of contracts, in the Flair podcast, he and Ric said that even while signing someone to a deal, that person went then to Dixie and had it changed.
Who knows how much money that imbecile cost the company because of that.
