Also I appreciated Oliver's "Hey, the hockey mask is pretty cool" line. Cute nod to Amell's role as Casey Jones in the most recent TMNT movie.

Really enjoyed this week's episode - Cody did great. As a painless zombie I hope we see him again at some point with a new and improved form of Stardust. I'm actually starting to like the new team after a few episodes together now. I especially liked when they went down to the Arrow cave and stared at the old team's suits in awe.
Looking forward to seeing how Ragman is going to react after having time to digest that Felicity was the one who dropped the bomb on his city and killed his family. Hope he doesn't leave the team because of it. You always need a creepy guy wearing magic ancient rags around. I hope to see the old team and new team working together at some point in the season.

Decided to give this show another chance after giving up last season.
Honestly, I'm really liking it. It feels similar to season one. There's no Olicity bs and Felicity is back to actually being funny.
I like the new crew, especially Ragman.
Any guesses on who Prometheus is? Felicity's boyfriend? Somebody from previous seasons?

Yeah whoever it is knows that Ollie is the Green Arrow as the synopsis for the next few episodes says something like Prometheus is going around hunting people from Ollie's past or something. |

Is Arrow good again?
I think it might be.
The flashbacks make sense. The storyline is a compelling one (Tobias Church is a perfect villain, considering how insanely huge the stakes have gotten over the past two seasons) and the new characters fit in, rather than feel like they're being shoehorned in.
So far, so good this season.

Another good episode. That's 4 for 4 so far.
One thing that bothered me is that I've no interest in seeing Diggle return to the team. His character just isn't interesting and feels kinda stale.
Especially when the new team gives the show a bit of a fresh feel.
I also like how Church is walking a fine line between being serious and over the top. Chad Coleman seems to be having a blast.

I really like Ollie and Felicity as being just purely platonic. Romantically it doesn't work - keep them friendly with each other and it does. I'm actually finding the flashbacks really interesting this year. Like why does Ollie want to find this guy so badly? You can kind of see in these flashbacks the slow transformation of the cold killer he'd become in Season 1 as "The Hood".
Loving the story as well. Kind of annoyed that Wild Dog got captured. Hope he doesn't get killed off. I'm enjoying his arc of jumping the gun on things and Ollie having to rein him in. Also liking the arc of Felicity wanting the team to go out there without Ollie but the team hesitating because they didn't think they were ready.
Captain Lance battling his drink problem and Thea promising to be there if he feels like he's slipping back is a great little story too. Wonder if we'll eventually see Thea suit back up? Things feel really fresh with the new team. I like that we're seeing them as rookies. Seeing them learning, seeing them slip up, seeing them struggle without Oliver. We didn't even see Laurel develop into the Black Canary the way these guys are developing. It's organic.

Goddamn, that was a great episode.
I loved Church but I'm okay with his death. Prometheus is an absolute badass.
I also thought The Human Target was really cool.
Also, Dig's new mask is a huge improvement.

One other thing, and I can't believe I'm saying this, Oliver and Felicity was done really well.
They had a mature conversation about their relationship being over and they are both moving on.
It honestly feels like a completely different show compared to season 4. Well done Arrow writers.

Why was the Arkham Knight taking orders from Church? Come on Jason you're better than that, Bruce, Alfred, and Dick wouldn't be too happy with you right now.
Seriously it's like Arrow writers saw Arkham Knight and said "That's what Church's specialist should look like."

I somehow get the feeling that Church wasted his time telling Prometheus who Green Arrow is. Something tells me Prometheus already knows. I do love the build up of Prometheus though. You had Tobias Church acting badass since the season's start, and boom. When he's being carted to prison, he's spooked that Prometheus is coming.
This is a really damn good season. What will the reporter do with the photo of Ollie in Russia? Tell all that Ollie wasn't stranded on the island when he said he was?
