Visually looks nice, but that's to be expected. It'll be interesting to see how the full trailer looks tomorrow.

Some damn good cinematography. That one shot of Han outside the Falcon made me wonder if, in all the production changes, they hired Roger Deakins as the new Director of Photography without anyone knowing. |

Looks pretty cool. Glad to see they are going with the "he used to be part of the Empire" story. It seems like they're going with a lot of George's old notes on Han. With a few variations, of course. Sounds like young Han was someone looking for "a life of significance", as our Emperor once told another ambitious young man. |

Is May 25 the release date?
If so it’s coming out sooner then I thought. I just assumed it will be realeased in December like the other Disney SW films

The teaser was much better than I expected. The opening gave me those Star Wars chills. Hopefully it’s not the trainwreck people are speculating that it will be.

Welp. Full trailers out and uh..yea, i dunno. I feel meh about it. I really liked Alden in "Hail, Caesar", but nothing from him in this trailer comes off as appealing. And this movies going to sink or swim largely on his performance. For the record, I really wanted Ansel Elgort for this part but I guess we'll all see how it goes a few months from now.

Is the alien they show at a set of controls with goggles on it's forehead Maz? If so then that would make the character more interesting in the sequel trilogy if we actually get to know her history with Han. Looks like maybe it's at least the same species. Her brother?
EDIT: Looks like that alien has 4 arms now that I look at it better.

After the changes and before last night , the biggest question was how in the world where they going to keep that date? I feel like them sticking to the schedule when the conventional wisdom told them to move it back is almost keeping with the spirit of the character. |

I'm looking forward to it, but I'm kinda tired of the British brunette female main character added in every new star wars movie. I would have liked to see a blonde or redhead female added to the star wars universe, since they already introduced Rey and jyn over the last couple of films.
