Meltzer is now reporting that both Io and Kairi have decided to stay in Stardom in order to help it grow. Guess Rossy successful managed to guilt them into staying. I hope this doesn't ruin the chances for other Joshi to join WWE. There are a number of them who are freelancers and bring a lot to the table. Hikaru Shida and Hiroyo Matsumoto done WWE tryouts in the past.

Bumping this because, according to Meltzer in the Observer this week, Hojo has changed her mind again and has actually signed a WWE contract. Shirai is also reconsidering the WWE option.

Bumping this because, according to Meltzer in the Observer this week, Hojo has changed her mind again and has actually signed a WWE contract. Shirai is also reconsidering the WWE option. To put this in perspective... CURRENTLY IN NXT OR SIGNED AND GOING TO BE IN NXT: - Asuka
- Nikki Cross
- Ember Moon
- Kimberlee
- Heidi Lovelace
- Nixon Newell
- Mary Dobson
- Kairi Hojo
- Io Shirai (MAYBE)
Not even factoring in Royce, Morgan, and Aliyah.
Like holy F***ing shit, even with callups for RAW and Smackdown eventually, that is absolutely INSANE... the current women on the roster better (Especially RAW) step their game up because that roster by itself can carry this company...

Evie as well. Shirai maybe coming, and Mayu Iwatani is planning on retiring. STARDOM may just be Toni Storm and the rookies at this point, and I doubt it'll be long before WWE comes calling for Toni.

If it doesn't kill'em then this is going to cripple stardom for a long time and that is the saddest part here because I enjoy Stardom and really did love at the time hearing they were staying out of loyalty.
But apparently Hojo mislead Stardom
She had told Stardom officials that she had turned down the offer and was staying with them. She just told the promotion now that she was leaving and wanted to leave in April. She’s got two titles and Stardom wants to her drop the titles before she leaves. The company felt they were misled by Hojo through all this.

I'm not going to lie, I know nothing about these girls, but the Raw/SD/NXT women's rosters are very shallow so some new womens talent is badly needed on all 3 shows.

That's a big loss for Stardom if true. They've just turned Io heel and she's running wild with Queen's Quest; all this really leaves, in terms of potential homegrown main eventers, is Mayu Iwatani and Yoko Bito. Maybe Hiroyo Matsumoto, but that's about it. They're probably gonna have to rely a lot on outside talent like KLR, Tessa and Nixon in the near future. People mainly talk about Io when it comes to the Threedom aces but Kairi is amazing. She's got a killer elbow.

Yeah WWE is honestly becoming more self aware of how much the Indy guys draw themselves and mixing them with their home grown talent is actually a benefit to everyone, hence the UK Pool starting to get snatched up and with Asuka showing them how marketable Joshi are, they're starting to get them too, and with how well Nakamura is drawing we might see a few more Japan pickups too, Ibushi would already be there if he wanted to be... and in the other vein, they're starting to get a little loose on age for more road traveled indy vets, whether it's guys getting a second chance like Kendrick and Ohno or guys like Roode who deserved it for awhile, and of course AJ Styles and Samoa Joe.
So a few Indies are feeling the burn of this in the Americas, and European Countries, its an awesome thing to see the mixing of styles and cultures finally become more prominent in WWE and now wrestling as a whole, but for the Indy scene, rookie classes are gonna be more reliant on I think for the next few years because I feel WWE is far from done building this foundation, and we're getting close to the annual roster "Spring Cleaning" too...

Awesome news if true, certainly i would love to see Hikaru Shida and Makoto picked up later as well. I Wish one day they might get Manami Toyota in like Jushin Liger, as a special attraction, certainly she deserves to be on the biggest stage in pro wrestling at least for the one time.

I need a segment where Asuka gets really cocky that she beat everyone and asks if anyone in the back can stop her and we get this

I have no idea who they are, but their names resemble the tiles I get in Scrabble when I know I'm gonna lose.

Honestly Stardom to me has been hanging on by a thread for a bit, ever since this incident occurred and caused some of talent to leave, Yoshiko to burn quite a few bridges, and Act Yasukawa to forcefully retire. The "Match" in question starts at 6:49. I really don't know what caused this, I don't know if it was backstage heat or ir Yasukawa's first strike was stiff, but yeah... it wasn't pretty.
I think it goes without saying but, this gets graphic for anyone who watches it, Act Yasukawa got shoot demolished, it was not good PR for the company especially considering they let the match keep going as long as they did, I would have called that shit the second I saw Act Yasukawa's face the first time, f*** that noise.

Well shit, that's even worse for them. They've relied heavily on gaijin in the past but haven't used most of their regulars (Chelsea Green, Tessa Blanchard, etc) since last year. I guess Shayna Baszler will have to become a regular fixture soon enough.
