I'm right there with you brother. Plus Io is absolutely amazing. Haven't heard much of Hojo, but based on responses I'm all,for her signing as well should she choose. Best elbow drop in the game: Holy shit!!!

That would be rough for Stardom to lose them both. I think Shirai is the better of the two (maybe the best woman in wrestling), but Hojo is the one who may be better suited for WWE based on her look.

I heard a rumour a while back that Kairi and Shane Thorne were a thing. That might have swayed her decision.

That's a big loss for Stardom if true. They've just turned Io heel and she's running wild with Queen's Quest; all this really leaves, in terms of potential homegrown main eventers, is Mayu Iwatani and Yoko Bito. Maybe Hiroyo Matsumoto, but that's about it. They're probably gonna have to rely a lot on outside talent like KLR, Tessa and Nixon in the near future. People mainly talk about Io when it comes to the Threedom aces but Kairi is amazing. She's got a killer elbow. SHADES OF THE MACHO MAN!!!!

My god with them AND NIXON coming in soon, nevermind the good - decent upcoming women already in NXT. The NXT Women will be stacked again even if Asuka goes up after Mania

Honestly, I see the fusion of Savage's grace and Saturn's/Okada's from the stratosphere elbows.

It's still funny that I have Shane Helms of all people to thank for making that elbow drop gif of mine popular. Two more favorites: That Elbow Drop looks like absolute Death, that better be her finish in WWE. I mean I don't see why it wouldn't be, if Ember was allowed to keep her O-Face finish which I did not expect.
She'll become an instant favorite with it, it just looks so amazingly done that it'll get a hugepop every time she goes to the top.

Stoked for Kairi and possibly Io joining WWE. Yeah it sucks for Stardom but Rossy should had been recruiting actual joshi talent to fill out the ranks instead of relying on Threedom at the top of the card with whatever good looking gaijin women with a work visa and enough jailbait to make Jerry Lawler jealous working the rest. Hojo saw the success of Asuka having with WWE/NXT and realizing that life as a joshi can short lived and painful. Take the plunge with a shot of worldwide fame or spent the next 3 years wrestling AZM. Easy decision. Shirai all depends on if Asuka is called up post Mania or not.

I'm stoked for this news. Especially if Shirai joins as well. The WWE fan base have no idea how much the bar is going to be raised in women's wrestling.

How crayons it that a year from now, it's possible every champion in the company could be either Japanese born, or at least had made their name in Japan?

So looks like this isn't happening again, Kairi just retained her singles title, and Io is challenging for the tag belts in the near future and still holds the top singles belt. They got guilt-tripped again, that or Meltzer was just flat wrong, I'm leaning towards the guilt-trip thing though.

They got guilt-tripped again, that or Meltzer was just flat wrong, I'm leaning towards the guilt-trip thing though. Io only went to the Performance Center to see if she would like it (basically WWE is still in the courting phase with her). If Kairi has signed a contract, like Meltzer said, then, unless there's a legal issue, it wouldn't be the easiest thing to get out of and WWE would probably fight Stardom over it. I'm not very familiar with Stardom, so I don't know if they have an other event in the near future that she could drop the title on, but they could always to the Nakamura deal and have her vacate the title right before making the jump to WWE.

Most of the upcoming women aren't reporting until late April/early May, so there's still time to get the belts off them.

After she won the Artist of Stardom titles with Konami and Mimura on today's Stardom show, Kairi announced to the crowd that she is leaving Stardom.
Coming soon: Kairi Hojo shaking hands with Triple H.
