I purchased the game Friday and so far after 20 hrs I am still having fun. Still only in Chapter 5 and doing a bunch of side quest. I got to end-game area so I backtracked and now I'm just beating side quests, because I feel once I beat it I'm never ever going to touch it again. It certainly didn't rope me in enough to spend $$$$ on DLC. Nah DLC I didn't splurge on it seems useless like most DLC these days (f***ing Arkham Knight). I like it so far tho. I mean I'm doing majority of shit in one play-through because I don't play through games in back to back sessions If anything I won't touch this game for a few months after I beat it.

Just started playing this game. I can't get decent grades on defense and stealth.

So I finally got my first crash of the game when I was fighting Leviathan That battle was crazy, for a time it felt like I wasn't even doing anything to him but I won eventually. I didn't really rely upon Summon monsters in this one or magic for that matter (minus the Expericast of course).

Yea I'm like level 47 at this point so as soon as I was getting in a rhythm in mid warp the PlayStation hit me with a error. Hopefully don't have to restart battle from the damn meeting I had with the old lady

A bunch of guides came out in Japan that apparently highlight upcoming DLC and confirm {Spoiler}{Spoiler} Aranea, 10 year gap Iris and Cor will become playable characters. It also fleshed out that Prompto's dad is one of the Imperial generals, Loqi was meant to have a much bigger role, there was an absolute f*** ton of story cut scenes that got cut because someone at SE felt the game needed less cut scenes and more action and the end scene has been left open on purpose so they could do a sequel if they wanted, but if they dont, you can pick a theory for what the end means.
There was also meant to be another boss character called Safeiroth, who also got cut and suggestions that Luna and Adult Talcott would have been playable/may become playable in the future. So yeah, they sold us all half a game and apparently some execs gutted the story.

They released the movie and did the anime because supposedly they did not want sequels wanted to cover more ground. Extra story DLC hardly ever works

It's the reason why they did the Kingslave movie and Brotherhood anime so you can get a full story without the sequels. It looks bad that they admitted cutting out a piece of the game tho.

At the end chapter. One thing I can say is that although I am not crazy about how they paced the story, the action in this game is still fun.
An all around fun game to play

Finished the game. Most of chapter 9 onwards was a bit of a slog. Chapter 13 wasn't too bad it just went on longer than needed with loads of backtracking. The ending was great, I also thought the villain was really good as well, just a shame the main story seemed so rushed.
The open world stuff was really fun, also really enjoyed the combat system though I came across a sword quite early that made it far too easy. I liked the combat system alot, easy to pick up and play but had alot more depth to it than it appeared at first.
Did nearly all the side stuff before chapter 9 so not much left to do post game. Not going to bother with season pass. Think I'm going to sell the game and wait for the inevitable PC release in a few years and replay the whole thing and the dlc (all the extra story stuff will be added by then too and hopefully a hard mode)

I always flat-out refuse to buy content that either should have been on the disk in the first place but was left out to try and milk money from players or is actually on the disk but you need to pay to unlock. I don't mind DLC if it's not ripping people off. Fallout's DLC is generally fair coming out a few months after release, not been important to the story overall and generally been entertaining and worth the money. No way am I paying for this crap if it's content that was cut from the main game.

Is that stuff DLC or is it part of the stuff they were planning on patching in for free.
Because Square said they were going to do a semi-MMO patch thing from what I remember.
