You owe the South and Dale Earnhardt an apology. See, I only even know who that is because once Wikipedia had a list of people who died on live TV for some reason I meant Dale Earnhandt JR but you can go to his daddy grave and apologize too. Also Morbid curiosity gets the best of us.

Who were those two old TV women who were spanking each other in the ring? I think it was during the cancer scam month. A crazy moment with z-list celebs.
James Corden is famous on both sides of the Atlantic. He co-wrote and starred in a big critically acclaimed sitcom in the UK and is a late night chat show in the US where his cool-pool-karooke segments are enormously popular. His parents? Yeah they aren't famous, but he is.

Four pages & no mention of Sgt. Slaughter basically telling Canadians how stupid they are.

From the viewpoint of an Australian, all of the US troop worship segments are really tedious to sit through. I understand that it's significant over there but at least where I live people don't really care much about the military so from a cultural angle I don't really get it.

Literally any time JR brought up people's sports credentials. I never used to think about it but every time I watch the Network at my friends house and within seconds of Pillman showing up and hearing
BAH GAWD CINCINATTI BENGALS ALL STAR TOILET CUBICLE DEFENSE BAH GAWD NP DOUBLE Q ALL AMERICAN TRACK STAR ONCE THREW A HAM HOCK SEVEN HUNDRED MILES LIKE IT WAS A NEW BORN KID AGAINST THE DELAWARE CLOWNSUITS DERBY GAME RETIRED PANTS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF PAISLEY PARK UNIVERSITY GOLF AMATEUR MY GOD ALMIGHTY HOLDS THE RECORD ON KONAMI TRACK AND FIELD IN HURDLES
it's like hearing a blast of piercing feedback. Any time he does it, for whoever it is. I just have no idea what any of that garbage is or means or why it matters.

It's no secret that I don't exactly have my finger on the pulse of American pop culture, so when most of these people showed up, I had no idea who they were. I put the blame for that squarely on myself, though; I can't blame them for at least trying to be relevant.

Mostly just the sports stars.
"Hey look, it's Jimmy Jack Johnstone from the Cincinnati Wildcats!"
Oh....okay. Obviously that doesn't apply to people like Shaq or Floyd Mayweather.

I'm British and knew who most the guest hosts were no problem. The absolute worst "only Americans will get this moment" are the video packages and patriotic crap they play on every public holiday or the tribute to the troop shows. Shit like this bugs me from non Americans and I'm not a huge patriot or anything but WWE is a American company. It's ok to show respect and love to our troops. Like goodness.

It's just a little weird to see a country so obsessed with their flag and military from the outside in as most of the rest of us aren't like that but I understand why WWE play on it
The worst segment I can remember was 2 drunk middle aged women talking about wine or something? I swear it happened, and it was the 2nd to last segment to one god awful Raw and the crowd were, rightly, absolutely dead for it. Have genuinely no idea who those women turned out to be or if they're even American famous but my god it was awful

I remember one of the Jersey Shore jackasses being the "social media ambassador" for Summerslam one year. I wonder how big that show was in Europe. For your sake, hopefully not very.

It was big enough in the UK that it lead to a spinoff called Geordie Shore (set in Newcastle) that is still going to this day.

While that segment by itself is terrible, the host for that episode also fits the bill of the question. For those unaware, the host of that episode was Johnny Damon, a former (then still active) baseball player. It would've made sense if he was one of the top names in baseball, but at best he was an above average player, and that was 5 years before he hosted Raw. Talk about a random as hell choice for guest host (guess they were running low on options for guest hosts at that point).

Damon went from "five years before he was a big part of a memorable team" to basically become by 2009 "Once about five years ago, this guy had a beard but now he doesn't!"

The thing with the sports stars, is that's less for the fans, and more for getting some airtime on ESPN.

It also was probably what killed Adam Rose's career dead, as he was sent out there to party with them so they could play his music over the rest of the segment to drown out the booing, which was so loud that Roman Reigns wouldn't get booed that loud if he performed the Styles Clash on a kid with cancer through a hard drive containing the cure for HIV and the only copy of Stacy Kiebler's nudes

It's not like they are doing it every show and just on the shows during a Nationalistic Holiday or a Show for the Troops. And outside of Tribute the Troops (pretty much a televised househosw) it's really only a opening video package you can fast forward if you wanted too. Plus there's nothing wrong with openly supporting your troops or Country. Like at the end of the day Vince is an American who operates his company in America and 99% of his employees are paid in USD.
